Our Unity Candle
Check!
I am slowly crossing off my wedding to-do list, & this candle is one item that I have a special place in my heart, due to it's meaning. Domestic Divas Fancy, on Etsy.com completed my Unity candle, & she went above and beyond in accomodating me. Her motto is- if it's not good enough for my wedding, it's not good enough for my brides! She is AWESOME & is mucho talented!
It's a little hard to see in the pic, but our scripture verse, I Corinthians 13:13 "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love" is at the base of the candle. We are carrying this design into our 'In Memory' table. Will post pics later! For more info on Unity Candle Lighting history, check out : http://www.ehow.com/facts_4968767_what-meaning-lighting-unity-candle.html For Domestic Divas Fancy's link: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6823928 This seller does tons of custom work that isn't featured on her shop, & she works with all budgets, so don't be afraid to convo her. She's super sweet |

Tiffany Blue Lollipops
Damask Lollipop Favors & Cupcake Wraps
>
www.accenttheparty.com has some beautiful favors. The prices aren't the lowest I've seen, but they still offer beautiful ideas for DIY brides & for those who aren't as concerned about the prices. I do LOVE the damask lollipops & am trying to figure out a way to make these myself for the kids table. I am thinking of making large damask labels for jumbo lollipops. Stay tuned! |

Personalized T-Shirts
For Our Wedding Party {Sneak Peek}
I am working with a friend of mine to design personalized t-shirts for the wedding party.
I am really excited about this, because it is something that is one of a kind, just for them, with the design centered around their personalities. My sister is the Matron of Honor, & I have always admired her love for God, and her beauty. She fits the Proverbs 31 (scripture) woman, which is why this shirt was designed as such, with the jeweler peering in. We are also in the process of designing shirts for the guys, & of course our Flower Girl & Ring Bearers. Theirs are super cute, so stay tuned! Each shirt will be rolled & tied with Damask ribbon, and gifted to each recipient at the Rehearsal Dinner, along with their other gifts. More pics to come soon.... |

Ask a Question
How Would You Like a
So we've seen the extra hawt budoir photos that have become all the rave in the personalized gift to give our groom, (or significant other) as a sexeee keepsake. I have even jumped on the bandwagon to take advantage of a photo oppurtunity with one of my Bff's, & do our photos on the same day later this summer. It's a beautiful thing for us ladies to feel comfortable in our skin & see the reaction of our Grooms...........but what if the role was reversed? How would you like to receive a budoir, or "man-doir" photobook from your guy? Do you think you'd find it hilarious, ridiculous, or FABULOUS?! |

Do It Yourself
Damask Cupcake Stand & Pedestals
Last night I decided to try to make my Damask Cupcake Stand. It still needs a little tightening up, but I decided to go ahead & post pics :) I still have to finish attaching my rhinestone beading, and line up the pearl pins on the side... I used damask wrapping paper, glue stick, hot glue gun, styrofoam cake dummies, cardboard cake platters, tiffany blue ribbon & rhinestone trim for the edges. Oh, & pearl corsage pins. Most of the stuff I already had on hand, but I did go purchase extra ribbon & trim for the project, which still kept me under $30 for the entire project. I can handle that price for a cake stand! Also, because the cupcake stand will hold about 60 cupcakes (you can make yours to accomodate any quanity), I used what I had left to make pedestals for display of extra cupcakes. Try to imagine our small cake on the top of the stand, with the rhinestone topper. It's a first for me, so go easy on my reviews, lol! J/K |

Photo Embeliished Cardbox
{For My Bridal Shower}
My guest list is growing for my Bridal Shower coming up this month, & so I decided that I wanted to have a cardbox available for the cards received. Fortunately, my MOH had no problem with me making this one purchase:)
I purchased an affordable box from Crystal Heagerty's Shop on Etsy. I am so pleased that I did. The seller was quick & accomodating. I LOVE the outcome of a different spin on adding photos to the cardbox. |

Date Change Cards
For Our OOT Guests :)
So as you ladies probably know by now, Mr. Gratefulbride & I have to push our wedding date out a little due to unforseen circumstances. We already sent our Save-the-Dates out a couple of months ago, & so now I am trying to rewind those steps before people book flights (unfortunately some already have, before we cancelled the previous date).
I checked online awhile back to look for ideas on 'postponed wedding' or 'date change' announcements, & the selection is very scarce. I found that under most circumstances, there was a negative aire regarding "having" to let guests know. I decided not to word our announcement the same heavy way, but rather let our guests know that we are simply 'moving' the date. :) Same people, same place, same time, just different date to come. I chose to send announcements out only to those that we have not been able to reach. A simple phone call would have served purpose, but we just can't get ahold of everyone, so rather than playing the waiting game, a mailout is way easy. We have over 65 ppl from out of town coming, & we wanted to give them proper notice. Although the concept & wording are mine, all design credits go to Charlotte at Delovely Designs Blogspot. She is amazingly detailed! I wanted something sortof retro, whimsical with our original wedding colors of Aqua & Red. I love the design. I had planned to upload for free at Vista Print with my coupon, but because time is extremely sensitive with the communication, I am printing at my friend's office (yay!). |

Feathery Damask Pens
Glam :)
So, you guys may remember my damask photo guestbook post way back from 9-24-08. Well, I have silver & aqua blue metallic gel pens to use for that because regular ink may not show up as well on the photos pages. BUT, when I saw these chic feather & damask pens, I knew I had to get one!
I am going 'traditional' for my Bridal Shower guestbook, basically without photos, but I am thinking of incorporating damask & chandelier into the cover/design somehow. Either way, I would love to have this pen next to it for my ladies to use. It seems really appropriate with the whole feel of the Shower. I found the pen at Paulaspetalpastries on Etsy. The damask print shown here is in brown & white, but the fabric colors are available in a variety of options. They also have the feathers in Tiffany Blue :) |

Damask Box
Functional Piece
I stumbled upon a new site tonight on Etsy called Paulaspetalpastries who has the most fabulous items! I am now eyeing this super cute damask crate. It seems to be an easy enough DIY project with a little fabric, ribbon & other small items, but I'm almost willing to just let her handle the extras, lol.
The item is available in different colors. I am looking into using it for our petal cones or for gift baskets for my Matron of Honor & Flower Girl. |
