Here is a mock up of the floral arrangements that will line the aisle. I threw some other flowers in...

{How Many Programs Needed?}
What's a good rule of thumb for programs to provide at the Ceremony? How many are you doing versus your guest count?
We are going to have about 130 ppl at our ceremony, but to save money, we are thinking of printing only between 70-90 programs because there will be couples & some ppl don't even hang onto them (plus I want to keep one for me & hubby). I am doing the scallop fan design, but would hate to see these on the floor! I already know that some of my friends & family will actually keep one or more as a keepsake. |

Strolling Tables
{Have You Seen These?!}
Would you have one at your wedding?
I saw the white table on My Fair Wedding recently & was wowed by this feature. It's not really a desire of mine, but I do think it's a great conversation piece at weddings, depending on the decor/tone you are setting. Strolling tables feature real people in a a variety of costumes adorned with a table. Couples use these strolling tables to pass out hors d'oeuvres or desserts and interact with your guests. |

{What Wedding Trends Annoy You???}
Are there any wedding trends/details that you look at & get annoyed by or tired of seeing? How about details that you could never grow tired of, or just love?!
For me, I honestly get tired of seeing damask sometimes! It's not just damask, but LOTS of damask that makes me almost weak in the knees! I know, I know...it's in my OWN wedding, but when I first started planning, damask was less common, & I can remember maybe 2 or 3 brides here who were using it, so it seemed so unique, lol. Obviously, damask is a likeable pattern, & is up for grabs by so many fabulously chic brides to be! BTW, I'm keeping the damask, lol. It's officially a keeper! One thing that I absolutely love is the Vintage & Chandelier themes, motifs, etc. I actually carry it into my home. I also love seeing weddings that are personalized & simple. Not a whole lot of gaudy-ness. Overkill of anything rubs me the wrong way. How about you? What are you loving this year, & maybe NOT so loving? No offense taken ladies!!! |

{What Color(s) For Your Bridal Shower?}
Just curious how involved you are (or not) with your Bridal Shower. Do you have a sayso in any of the plans, decor, food, location, etc.., or are you leaving it all in the hands of another trusty person?
In my case, my Maid & Matron of Honor are handling the location & Shower arrangements (games, menu, invites, etc.), but the one thing I was consulted on were the colors & the date to ensure my availability. We are shooting for a May Shower, which will be about a month before the BIG DAY. The colors of the Shower will have the colors of the wedding, with an ADDITION of Red! I love it because I almost chose this palette for the wedding, but my FH & I ended up wanting something a little more toned down. BUT, in the end I am still getting those colors, lol. I love the pop of red with Tiffany Blue. So how about you? Are you keeping your wedding colors, or are you going with something totally different? Do you want to be surprised instead? |

Reception
Bathroom Basket
So, I am almost finished with our Bathroom Baskets for the Reception.
I used damask photo boxes from Hobby Lobby, since I got them 2 for $3 during a sale. I was going to use the boxes to hold send off bubbles (for the kids), but I have a different plan now. The frame was also purchased from Hobby Lobby, also on sale, so I got 2 for $10. I love that it has a sortof vintage feel to it. Rather than putting a poem in the frame, I decided to just condense the whole point, & put it in the frame, with a crystal rhinestone embellishment added. I was going to order customized Damask Kleenex boxes, but I decided to use my Damask tissue cover, which was purchased thru Etsy. I paid $5 for the cover, & I can use it forever, so I felt it was better worth the $$$. Oh, & the lampstand in the background is what I use in my own bathroom, & I'm bringing it along, lol! It is a velvet, textured brocade design, that compliments everything else. Since the counter top at the reception bathroom is broad enough (with outlets), I will use what I have :) All of the contents were purchased at The Dollar Tree, however I will be adding the following to the box: Tide Stain Sticks Safety Pins Hair Spray Sugar Free Gum The men's box wil have the same contents, minus the girly stuff, lol. |

Rose Petal Opinions
I have a few packs of white rose petals (they are fabric) from The Dollar Store (300 count), & have hesitated purchasing more only out of concern that they may look skimpy.
I was just wondering if you guys have used, or already purchased any Dollar Store rose petals for any of your decor/projects. My main use for them is to line both sides of our aisle runner. I want the runner to have a very full, lush look, & so far, The Dollar Store's prices are #1 in my book, but while I like to save money, I do not like to skim on quality or at least the appearance of quality. Is anyone buying rose petals from another source? Are you using The Dollar Tree's petals? So far, I am just planning to purchase the bulk white petals online. You can get 48 bags of 300 count for $48, which is over 14,000 petals! I seriously would use every last petal too! Probably for our cupcake table as well as the aisle. |

Are You Having Hors D'oeurves? Please Help-
To make a long story short, we have had to change reception site (we lost the previous one). Our new site is teeny tiny, which on the bright side, opts for "an intimate affair", lol.
Being that we are working with a much smaller space, our reception is going to have to be by invite only. So...I am now in the process of revamping our menu to a Heavy Hors D'oeurves & Dessert Reception only. As staples, we will have a seafood, a beef, a chicken, a pasta, & a veggie finger food, in addition to a chocolate fountain with various fruits & our cupcakes. Most of the meats will be on skewers, & most of the food will be in shooter & martini cups, for presentation. Some things will be escorted around on silver platters, & some things will be set up at 1-2 small stations. Please share with me if you are having hors d'oeurves, & if so, what are you serving? I need ideas so I can get our menu narrowed down! Even if you're not doing this for your wedding, I am open to your suggestions! TIA!!! |

Our Save the Dates
Chandelier Delights
Because we changed our date from March to June, I felt an importance to communicate to our guests of the changes made. Before, I simply uploaded a damask design (with photo) to Vistaprint, & merged our save-the-dates into postcard magnets. As soon as I got ready to slip them in the mail, we changed the date!
So, although more time than $$$ was lost, I had a desire to send something a little more chic, & detailed. I admit, I love all things paper, so I have had a delight in putting these in the mail. I went thru Etsy to purchase them (2 different sellers). Got the magnets for a steal, & made our wrap around labels. I don't have a pic of it, but our monogram is on the back of the wrap around label. I just mailed these this week (to our oot guests), & already am receiving lots of thanks & rave reviews. I am VERY excited! Each save-the-date is layered with irridescent white, tiffany blue, & dak silver cardstock, & embellished with 2 tiny crystals for simplicity's sake. The envelopes are lined with shimmery chandelier paper. The magnets are business card sized & have not only our names, but our parent's names included. Our website info is on each card so that they can view hotel accomodations, updates, gift registry info, etc... |

Chair Signs
For the Reception
So, I still have some trimming around the edges to do, but overall I'm pleased with how our chair signs turned out. I used leftover Tiffany Blue cardstock, Dollar Tree Damask printer paper, Irridescent White ribbon that I had bought months ago at Hobby Lobby for 50% off, & maribou feathers that I also purchased at Hobby Lobby during their now 90% off Christmas sale. I spent about $3 for the whole project. Oh, & I forgot, there is a single crystal embellishment on the "Mr." & "Mrs.". I will be hanging these signs on our chairs at the Head Table at the reception.
BTW, the Maribou Feather came on a clip. I tried centering it, but it covers the words at the top. I am liking the off-center layout right now. |

Aisle Runner
Check
At first we went with a greyish-silver runner, but ended up deciding on the cleanliness of white. I'm glad we did, because I will have lots of rose petals & candles along the sides, & the candles that I am using will have textured,colored wraps around the holders, so it helps balance.
We used a favorite scripture, because I'm just a believer of love as the root of all things. The scripture is at the head of the runner, & our monogram is near the foot of it. It's actually a little more sheer than I prefer on top of our MAROON church carpet, so I am going to have a solid white runner beneath it, as a liner. The font is the same that we are using on our invitations & programs. |
