Here is a mock up of the floral arrangements that will line the aisle. I threw some other flowers in...

The Aisle Runner
Glitter Fab
Well, Im all about tasteful sparkles & I LOVE candles! My Fiance & I already decided that we'll have different height variations of lit pillar candles (inside of glass huricanes or another type of holder) lining both sides of the aisle runner, for a warm, romantic look. In between all that will be lots & lots of lush white & ivory mixed rose petals.
I am on the search for something a little different though, which is a gray or possibly silver aisle runner. I really want to incorporate something different, which is still in our color scheme, & I think that visually with all the white & cream accents elsewhere, it will add a beautiful & slightly modern balance. Our initials/monogram will have glitter, rather than paint in a rich Tiffany Blue, or an Irredecent White (or both). The rest of the script will be painted, to avoid glitter overkill. At the tail end of the runner, we will have a scripture verse like the one pictured, in the same colors. Scheri (brown page) has given me the inspiration to attempt at DIY, so we'll see..... If I can come off cheaper than having someone else do it, this will definitely be a summer/fall project. |

Photos of Our Men
Let's Hear It For The Boys.....
Well, my FH is not a lover of the camera, but after experiencing our engagement session with him, he actually seemed to let out his "teddy bear" side for our photographer.
I highly doubt it'll be the same story when he's around the fellas, but at least the heat of it being our wedding day may melt his heart long enough to take some of these amazingly fun & crisp shots. Plus, being with the guys will bring out the "crazy" side. I can't wait!! This is just a little inspiration. Please credit the photographers attached to each photo. |

Chic Chandelier Cake
So Modern
So, I have to admit....when I first saw this cake, I thought it was a white cake with spider webs on it. But, at second glance, I began to notice the chandelier details, Lol...
I know this isn't "the cake" for Mr. Gratefulbride & I, but I still thought I'd share. The cake is actually a design from I Dream of Cake. |

Ask a Question
NWR: Which Celebrity Couple?
I love seeing WIll & Jada out in public, because they always seem to have great couple style & chemistry after all these years. I also love Gavin & Gwen Stefani. Who's Couple Style do you admire, or would even mimic?

My Garter
Update to Previous Post
I had posted several photos of beautiful garters in a previous post (6-06), but never posted my own. I have been having problems with my camera, which is why I never had the chance. Here is a photo of what it looks like. I bought it a couple of months ago from Victoria's Secret. I love the sortof aged, vintage look to it. It's very clean & simple, which I really like. I dont think we're going to do the traditional garter toss, I just liked the garter in general, lol.
Note-the garter is more aqua than baby blue in person. |

Wedding Day Sparkles
My Jewelry Breakdown
I am in the process of finally narrowing down exactly what jewelry I want to wear on our wedding day. I know that I don't want anything over priced, but like any other bride, I want it to be beautiful & suit my style. I have found that & more with www.whiteaisle.com. Here are some pics if any of you are interested. The pics displayed include earrings, bracelets & bouquet brooches. I didnt post any necklaces, but they do have them. Most of the earrings are $29 & under.

A Twist On The 'Tiffany Box'
Something For The Girlz
I absolutely love these boxes. I already have gifts for my Bridal Party, but being that we're going to have some Girl's Pampering (massage, spa, pedicures, etc..) maybe a week b4 the wedding, I am going to give them this "TLC" box filled with a personalized photo brag book with us together, some shower gels, lotions, & a silver engraved compact. Just a small 'comfort' gift.
I will also have one customized "Bride" for my day of wedding toilletries. Box totes are $18 & $5 optional personalization fee..... customized by designs.by.2sisters@hotmail.com They have other colors. |

~The Mantilla~
How I Adore Thee.....
THEY SAY that in order to rock a Mantilla Veil, the Bride must have a simple dress, or one with lace. Well, mine is somewhat simple, and there is some intracate irredescent beading, but no lace...lol. I figure that since I fell in love with the Mantilla before even finding my dress, that I would go against traditon or bridal statistics. I am however, considering wrapping some sort of matching lace that compliments veil around the base of my bouquet, along with the bouquet bling...just a little bit:)
I am a major fan of the birdcage veil (believe me...Im trying to fit that into the reception), but Im caught up with the lace, the feminine touches, the royal background, & just simply the fact that it's one of those "underdogs" to the wedding day glamour, although it is becoming a highly desired touch to today's bride's wardrobe. I am thinking it will go well with the flower in the lower section (on the side) of my hair. I cant find the pics I wanna post of what Im talking about!! Ive seen it before though. I actually got my veil already (in January) during a sale @ David's Bridal for over half off with a package deal. It is elbow length. The beautiful brides photo'd are from nari & wyatt's blog spot, & from a lovely bride in California. |

Flower Power
Billie Holiday Style
I posted somewhere on my blog about hair embellishments & different options that I really am fond of. I am drawn to having a double (when I say "double", I mean it is one piece, but has 1 large flower & 1 much smaller...not quite so dramatic)Gardenia, or some type of crystal piece in the lower side of my hair. I love Billie Holiday's style, & thought that just maybe I can mix the two elements that I want so much....the flowers AND the crystals. More specifically, a crystal studded Gardenia.
The model in the last photo is linked to this site: http://www.babygirlboutique.com/double-gardenia-hair-comb.html The piece is $18 there. After getting a flower piece & embedding with my own crystals, I will post a pic. Stay tuned.. |

Tips for Coping With Wedding Stress
Courtesy, Beautiful Bridal Blog
Planning a wedding, although a joyful experience, can also catch you off guard with large security deposits, hidden alteration fees, going over budget, and worrying about RSVPs, just to name a few. Preparing yourself for inevitable problems will help you look past the small inconveniences and concentrate on the joy of your wedding preparations. Here are some suggestions to keep stress at a minimum:
· Prepare for your day the evening before. Make a list of appointments, inquiries, and phone calls that need to be made. Schedule stressful tasks early in the day, then the rest of your day will be free of anxiety. · Be prepared to wait. There will be delays with alterations, bridesmaids who miss appointments, shipping and delivery delays, and guests who take too long to respond. · Set up contingency plans just in case. If your budget is being depleted will not cover a luxury waterfront hotel, consider a charming bed and breakfast inn. · Relax your standards regarding your parents, bridesmaids and guests. The world wont come to an end if one of your bridesmaids skips a fitting to go to a baseball game. · Let someone give you a much needed pep talk · Organize your home and keep all wedding related books, bridal magazines, contracts, invoices, phone numbers and invitations all in one place. · Do something for someone else. It will lift their spirits, and yours too! · Learn to delegate jobs to helpful friends, family and relatives. They will be honored to be a more personal part of your wedding. · Turn off your cell phone and allow yourself timeeveryday for privacy, quiet, and introspection. Coping with stress also means taking control of diet, exercise, relaxation activities, and just having fun. Try cutting back on fast food. Go for a bike ride, or visit a museum or art gallery. Practice slow, deep breathing, which is good for your health in any situation. All these things will enhance your well-being and enable you to cope with the inevitable frustrations associated with wedding planning. Posted by Beautiful Bridal |
