Wrist Ribbons {Bling Style}
For Attendants
I wanted wrist corsages of some sort for my 2 friends who are acting as our Day of Coordinators. I had some Tiffany Blue striped ribbon left, & I bought a couple of rhinestone brooches (they are really a good size) from Forever21 for $5.80 s piece. I just pinned them on 2 straps of ribbon, & voila...a beautiful wrist adornment, and a really inexpensive project. Plus the girls can wear the brooches later without the ribbon.
Sorry for the awful pics :) |

Beautiful Brooch Bracelets
For Less....
I have my wedding day jewelry complete, but I've always adored the brooch bracelets that I keep seeing. I am wanting to gift one to my Matron of Honor, along with some earrings for her jewelry.
I heard that La Fancy Beads on Ebay has very pretty jewelry that dosen't have a cheap look, for less. Just wanted to share with you guys. Looks like the average range for this style bracelet in their shop is around $40 & up. |

New Project
Thanks to Style Me Pretty
I can't wait to begin this T-Shirt project next weekend. It's personalized Tees for the Wedding Party. Mainly for the night of the Rehearsal Dinner to wear & represent :). I already have the designs pre-made on my computer, and had been hesitating sending the images to a local print shop due to cost, but per the article on Style Me Pretty, you can have your images sent to Kinkos for T-Shirt printing as well, which I didn't know. But, since I figure our attendants won't wear these all the time, I am going to buy the transfer sheets for less at Office Depot & do it myself!
Here's the link to the article: http://www.stylemepretty.com/2009/12/07/diy-groomsmen-t-shirts/ The packaging tubes are super cute as well. I might order a few to package the tees in for the adults, depending on what the price is like. Otherwise, I will use some tiffany blue ribbon on hand. I will post pics soon. |

Photo-Scavenger Hunt
Reception Fun
I've seen these scavenger hunts on The Knot, as well as here on WBC, & I honestly didn't think a whole lot of them at first, but now I think it's a really fun & cute idea to get the older kids & teens involved. I know how boring it can be as a child at weddings, so I think this may help add a fun spin on things, plus I'll have a few disposable cameras for them to capture more pics for us while having a good time.
You can click on the image to see some of the "Hunt" items that I included. Some of the requirements include taking pics of the following: A group pic of everyone at your table, biggest smile, best dancer, someone with a camera taking a pic, lol, and more.. **Credits to Shayne for the layout** PS I cannot take credit for the poem. If you know who it is from, I will give proper credit. |

Rehearsal Dinner
Menu & Signage
I just wanted to share with you guys the signs that I had ordered awhile back from Jujubee Designs on Etsy. We're doing heavier damask & tiffany blue at the reheasal dinner, & more steel grays with tiffany at the ceremony.
The Rehearsal Dinner budget is el cheapo, but I do not like to skim on quality. So, I felt the signs add a little personality & style to our disposable table cloths & plates. A couple of family members & friends have committed to making the food (everything except the pizza, which will be ordered from local restaurant). Italian food is my FH's fave, so I wanted this time to be fun & relaxing for our oot guests, parents & those in the wedding party. The menu includes: Lasagna, Shrimp Alfredo, NY Style Pizza, Salad, Bread & Ice Cream Station for Dessert The location will be at my church's fellowship hall, so the benefit is that it's free, & easy for those there to stay at one location right after rehearsal. I want to be as accomodating as possible to our oot guests. The table cloths are actually in "carribean" which is closer to turquoise, but it's not a problem at all. I got the table cloths (disposable), damask dinner & dessert plates & damask napkins (enough for 100) at a local store here called 'If It's Paper' several mons ago for $25. All of it. The store was having a closing sale, & I was able to rack up then on those items, as well as the white gable boxes for the out of town boxes (see older post). The signs & menus pictured here will simply be put on easels for display. I have lots of signage to share with you all from Unpredictable Bride as well, once Im able to find some inexpensive frames. I highly recommend Jujubee Designs (Etsy) & Unpredictable Bride here for any signage/stationary needs. They take the time to do the job right & make sure you're satisfied. I love their work! |

Ask a Question
Crystal Tree- Should I Leave It Alone?
I bought this crystal tree from Victorias1911 several months ago, & I absolutely love it. On the other hand, I also love to see the manzanita branches with full blooms attached (like last pic). My tree is a little less full (right now) because I removed the purple crystals that Amanda included & a few of the acrylic strands, until we actually set it up at reception.
In your opinion, do you like the tree the way it is (main pic), or would you add a few flowers to some branches/base? |

Ask a Question
What Advice Would You Give....
If you could give 2 forms of advice to someone planning a wedding OR to a newlywed, what would it be? Whether you've been engaged for awhile, or are a newbie, we all have the common element of becoming a wife, so what would you share?
Planning a wedding is fun, beautiful & even stressful at times, but your words may be key in helping some of us to really make it seamless. Or, your words may help in encouraging each other in marriage! If you only have one thing to say, that is fine! |

Calming Turquoise
I know that what the pros say & do is not what we HAVE to do or follow, but I admit I was a little excited reading this passage on YAHOO this morning:
Turquoise! Celebrities Embrace The Big Color for 2010 editor by Sarah Bernard, Color authority, Pantone, has proclaimed that turquoise will be THE color in 2010.The soothing color of the Caribbean sea is the perfect antidote to a stressful 2009, they say. Celebrities are already embracing the turquoise trend, maybe because turquoise looks great with black, grey, white, brown and navy – neutral colors that we already have in our closets. Check out the celebrities in the photo gallery below who are ahead of the curve in stylish turquoise. I'm pretty excited to see this color represented as a stylish and soothing color time and time again, & to be a part of it for my own wedding! We chose Tiffany Blue not so much for the style portion, but for the meaning of the color, which is beautiful to me. And I know that I'm not the only Bride (and my Smoochieface) who has had a pretty rocky 2009. I still thank God for it all, & look forward to what this year has in store!! Rock on BLUE brides!!!! And all my other fabulous brides as well!!! |

Pretty Damask Lamps
I Love These
I was in Target a couple weeks ago, & came across these awesome lamps. I think they are $16.99 each, and who knows...they may be on sale now. I think they are great for touches at the reception, or the home. I'm hoping to incorporate something similar at our reception.

Red is So Hot!
The Perfect Pomander
So, I've been blessed with the awesome duty of decorating my good friend's Bachelorette Party, coming up in 2010. The theme is going to be Moulin Rouge, & it's more of a combination of a Shower & Bach Party-in-one, so we are all bringing Lingerie Gifts :)
But to tell you the truth, I think these absolutely gorgeous pomanders are going to be the highlight. I know that pomanders aren't really Bach Party savvy, but this isn't any ordinary decor. The color & sparkling crystals are going to make a conversation piece, along with the feather boas & other goodies we add on :) I really think these would be so pretty in a red wedding, or a Valentine's , or even a Black & White, Old Hollywood Glam wedding. The possibilities are endless. I actually found these stunners on Cre8tive's Etsy Shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Cre8tivedesigns4u |
