Here our my diy "I do " Letters I still have to put the rhindstones on and spray the glitter on them.

While I was working on some diy's over the weekend my little helper(my Fi and I's 2 year old daughter) Sparked an idea for me.

I bought bright pink tulle off of ebay for the wedding and I was making some pew bows... and here is what I made instead!

I started working on my bridesmaid newsletter, I got everything typed up that I wanted to say , but I just have not messed around with putting it all into a layout just yet. Hopefully I will be able to get time tonight to sit down and work on it! Ill post pictures as soon as I get it all done! IM so excited to send this out to my girls!!! I was thinking about doing something for the guys as well!? What do you think?

I joined sparkpeople a week or so ago, and just had time to really sit down and look it over last week. It is really an amazing site, and the best part is that it is Free!! There is a fitness tracker, meal tracker, blogs, receipes and lots more!

I printed out my shopping list , and bought some of the things on it over the weekend, ill finish with the rest tonight when I get off of work. The best part about it is, that if there is something on the list you dont like , you can go to the subsitute list and change it, and it will change the rest accordingly...

Im so excited to start this program, and im going back to the Ymca 3xs a week and hopefully getting back into my jazzercise as well.

I have one year to loose 25-30lbs!!! Ill let you know at the end of the week how this has went!!!

I worked on some of my Diy projects over the weekend... I will post the pictures later~!~

Im still searching ideas on how to decorate my card box, I just dont know what I want to do yet?!

After work its home to paint my "I Do" letters, and finish working on monograms and cutting ribbon :) yay, im on a roll!!!!

After going to the cake tasting, we decided on a cake. Justin absolutely loves this cake. I think we may do something a little different to it like add pink ribbon and do brown lettering. We will see :) We could also tell them what wording we would like on the cake if we so choose. yay!

Though after going to the cake tasting it will not be done in the rolled fondant.That stuff tastes horrible its so chewy! ick. So it will be smooth butter cream and we still are not sure what flavors yet either. But at least we put down the deposit we can decide the details later :)

Have any of you ever heard of craigslist? I absolutely love it! I included the website above, just pick your state and local city! I have bought several things from there..As a matter a fact im meeting up with a lady today that sold me 70 glass votive holders for 10.00 for the wedding! Such a good deal!!!!! :0)

Today on my lunch break I went to walmart and bought some stuff for my Diy projects. I bought A bright magenta to paint my " I Do" Letters, rinstones, and spray glitter. Bright pink satin ribbon to put on the outside of my Diy programs.

Im going to do a mock up of my centerpiece this weekend, I dont have everything that I want for it yet , but at least youll get the idea.

Im also going to buy the bright pink tulle by the bolt at walmart its really inexpensive and I wont have to pay shipping costs! Although the walmart by my work did not have a chocolate brown so ill have to check out some of the other area walmarts.

So my to do list for this weekend

I googled pink and brown weddings and these are some of the pictures that I came across that I liked . These are all really good ideas that will help me to create my own :)

Next wednesday is our cake tasting day~!~ im so excited to try the different flavors that our cake shop has to offer! I also have some cakes in mind for justins groom cake, i just have to see what they are capable of doing, and the price.Although when you put a 100 deposit down you get a free groomscake so lets just hope its something exciting and not boring! lol. oh well its free right :)

The colors or color would either be brite pink or brown, we have yet to decide that :)

Ive just got the hang of the monograms after several tempts, Although im still learning.. Its just goingto take some time. lol. I still am not sure if im saving them right or not.. But here are a few so far :) ok... I guess I am saving them right if I could post the pic!! yay!! SO now I have the whole weekend to play around with different fonts and stuff! I guess its not so hard after all :)

My friend liz, which is one of my bridesmaids was in town from Colorado last weekend we went to davids bridals for her to try on some dresses... So i made my FINAL decision on the dresses. She looked really good in the dress and I find them to be very flattering for any body type. Im so excited because last spring they did not have this particular style of dress in the color I had choosen and this summer they decided since the style was so popular they were going to make it in most all the colors! yay for me!!! The dresses will compliment my dress very well.

So I have started to mess around with making a monogram a little more and I think im starting to get the hang of it! Today is my last day of work for the next three days so I should have some time to just sit and make up a few different ones! Im so excited...

I also Bought my I DO wood letters last week , Brown and pink card stock to see what type of wedding program style we like . So hopefully ill get to work on some of my Diy projects this weekend!

I need some help on creating my own monogram! I tried using Powerpoint and I just cannot seem to get it ! lol. Please help with your tips and Ideas Id really apreciate them!

Here are a few of the hair styles I have came across so far that I really like. Im going to wear a Double head band that I purchased from davids bridal. But I want my hair some what down but not all the way, because the wedding is in july or maybe all up but just loosely, with lots of curls~~~

I purchased my dress last august. It is very similar to this one, except where the dress is pulled up mine does not have the beading, but other then that they are the same.


A little about my dress shopping story though..,. My MoH and myself went to davids bridal to look at bridesmaid dresses, I was not even going "wedding dress shopping" but when we got there the bridal consultant asked if I would like to try a few on, so I said sure why not. I picked out 5 different dresses one of which was on the clearance rack and it was exactally what I had been wanting, but I figured something is wrong with it , or it wont fit........

I headed off to the fitting room and put the first dress on, hated it to fluffy , heavy just not me. The 2nd dress I put on was the "clearance " Dress, it was amazing! I felt like a princess and knew it was the one for me! It fit perfect and the back had the corset tie up that I loved. And to top it all off my dress was only 125!!! So i think for my dress, veil, bra, and the slip type of thing im not sure what it is exactally . The total was 430!! I was so excited!

I was going to have my MOH where a different style of dress, but I think im just going to have them all wear the same style and color.

And then they can just buy any style of silver shoe they like.

So I have danced around the idea of a candy buffet, and I have decided to do one for the reception!

Im going to shoparound for glass containers at the flower factory, the dollar tree and the Hartville flea market!

Candy will be bought from sams club, and I have purchased some from walmart as well.

Still have not decided on where to purchase the bags from.

The wedding date has been changed to august 22,2009. Justin and I both feel that 5 months just is not enough time to plan the wedding and have everything paid for. So we are going to give ourselves another year to get everything together. I have quite a lot of things done already , and really this extra time just gives me time to work on more DIY projects and things like that. So im definately ok with the change :)

I have several Diy projects that I am going to be starting here shortly....


Different pink and brown ribbon around glass votive holders. These will serve as 2 purposes. 1 as my centerpieces, 2 as a favor for the woman that come to the wedding.

Painting I*Do letters, and NKJ initals.. these will be done in brown with pink accents of some sort on them.

Wedding Programs. On brown card stock, pink velum over with a bow threw the both.

Bubbles. Adding Ribbon to those.

A wishing Tree,The cards will be done similar to the above wedding programs.

I have some other things in mind as well too... so now I just need to get started on them!!

Here are some pictures that I have found on various sites/pages.. They are all just ideas for me to spark my own creativity! Ill post my own pictures when I start on them!! :)

The flowers are going to be Bright pink and white roses. My bouquet is going to be mostly pink with some white, and the bridesmaid bouquets are going to be mostlly white with some pink.

Justin(groom) will have a pink rose. and his groomsmen will have white.

The cake is going to be from reeves cakes . My parents have always bought cakes from them for all ocassions. Here are some of the ones that we have picked out.

Here are some ideas for the wedding reception that I have found, Im just trying to find some good ways to incorporate all the colors together~!~


For the cake table there is going to be rose petals with Glass Tealight candles around the cake, with Homemade letters made by myself that say "I Do", and quite possibly a vase with some Light Pink Daisies.

Entrance way, Im still not sure if Im going to use the bright pink tulle, or if it will be brown?

For my centerpieces im having a tall cylinder vase with crystal beads in clear/pink filled with water and a floating tealight, This will be placed on a mirror, Rose petals all around the mirror with about 4 glass votive cups that have Ribbon hand tied around the top. (these will also be a favor to the ladies at the reception)

The favors are pink and white m&m's In pink and brown tulle with handtied ribbons.

(I will post my own pics up of my projects as I start to work on them~!~ :)

The head table will have the brown tulle drapped in the front, with white lights inside, Glass tealight holders will by in the front of the table with cylinder shaped vases to hold the bridesmaids flowers and my bouquet.

There is a fireplace situated behind the head table and it is going to have the Brown tulle drapped across the mantle, with pillar candles lit.

Its so hard to explain my ideas, but I posted pictures of some of the similar ideas !

The bridesmaids will be wearing this dress in the color of Azalea(Like hot Pink)

There bouquets will be Gerber daisies in light pink.
