Wedding Hair Style
long hair, extentions, cinderella
I got my hair idea from cinderellahair.com My hairdresser and I went to the hair boutique and bought real human hair about 4" longer than my own. She attached the hair to clips and voila, Instant long hair. Beautiful. Thanks to Aisha at the Plaza Resort and Spa, Daytona Beach, FL.
All bridesmaids will also have their hair down. Just curled at the ends. Simple. |

Wedding Dress
alterations
If any of you live in or around the Daytona Beach area. There is a wonderful seamstress/dress maker that works out of her home in Ormond Beach, FL. Her name is Darlene Rivard 386-451-6010. She is very reasonbly priced and I trust her 110%. She is awsome. She noticed things that I didn't and new exactly how to correct them. She already did the alterations on my "going away" dress and working on my wedding dress now. She is is making an old fashioned (vintage) bussle for the back of my gown and it'll be slightly puffy with an extra piece of tulle she is adding. I just can't praise her enough. She will be doing all the dress alterations :)
I will be adding my own bead work to my veil but Darlene is dying my veil with tea because my dress is like an eggshell white. The veil is brilliant white. She's the best :) I included some pics of me in the dress and a sample photo of the flower girl's dress that matches mine. My dress is by Mori Lee and the bridesmaid and flower girls dresses are Alfred Angelo. |

Wedding Reception
Casa Monica Hotel, St. Augustine, FL
We chose the Casa Monica as our reception venue. The wedding will be held late afternoon on a Friday on the Hotel's luxurious pooldeck. There is an elevated area called the Sultan's Pavilion which will be my dance floor. Tables will surround one side of the pool with white linens, claret napkins, morrocan lanterns as centerpieces w/white rose garland attached, red glass hurricane votives surrounding the lantern and underneath the centerpiece, will be a black and white damask round with claret cord edging. Can't wait to post some pics. It'll be daylight savings time so there should be a nice candlelit glow. I bought some bouquet holders for the head table. We will be using that for the decoration. Should be beautiful.
Food choices are Spit Roasted Honey & Ginger Rubbed Chicken, served with sundried tomato Polenta and Asparagus Or N.Y. Strip, served with Natural Au Jus and Herb Butter with mashed potatoes and green beans Or Vegetarian Dish Mozzarella baked Portabella served with grilled and marinated vegetables with basil, cilantro and wild rice 5 hour open bar Guitarist for cocktail hour. Songs-our song- "Here with Me" by dido garter toss-"Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake bouquet toss-"Single Ladies" by Beyonce Father daughter dance "Could I have this dance" by Anne Murray |

Ask a Question
Transportation and Hotel stays for guests
I have alot of out-of-town guests coming. I was planning on meeting with a AAA representative to see if I could get a group rate on airfare and hotel since I am a member of AAA. I do not want them all to pay an arm and leg to come to my wedding. Any other ideas of how to go about this????

Wedding Rings And Jewelry
Here's the ring he chose for me. It's white gold, Past, Present and Future Ring. I believe it's almost 2 Carats and they are Leo Diamonds from Kay Jewelers. I had nothing to do with the choosing of the ring and that's just the way I wanted it. :)

The Proposal
We went to St.Augustine, FL for New Years Eve. St. Augustine always has the city decorated with Christmas lights and they call it nights of lights. We ended up at a little bar with a live band called the Milltop Tavern. The cover charge included party favors, champange toast at midnight and the live band of course. We had a great time. The waitress came around and gave us our champange toast and right away my boyfriend said we had to leave. I was very upset and told him that he better have a ring in his pocket or else there was no good reason why we should be leaving before the countdown! He just laughed at me and he took me over to the Fort. There he read me a poem he wrote and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Just as I said Yes the fireworks started booming. He timed it perfectly and it was something I will never forget.

The Plan
So, I've started planning
Got my notebook started and letting this wedding rule my life. Can't think about anything else but this. So here it goes...
My Mori Lee wedding dress is $560.00 Ivory with Claret Style 2175. I found it on Ebay for $150.00 straight from Bejing, China. Price is very tempting but I'm not sure if I should trust it. But, on the other hand it would like buying straight from the manufacturer. Right? www.morlee.com www.foreveryours.com has the flower girl dress that matches mine. The bridesmaid dresses I have chose are Alfred Angelo style 6546 and come in the opposite colors of my dress. Main color: Claret with ivory trim. www.alfredangelo.com I will be doing White and Black mainly, with touches of Damask and Red. Table idea is White Linen with a Black linen over it. Black and White Damask Round in center and sheer damask chair scarfs (not sure what to call it :). Red Votives around the centerpieces. Red Votives are available at www.candlesforless.com (72 votives w/candles-color of your choice for $36.99) *The Centerpiece will be like the one in the picture except with a red betta fish, red marbles and red ribbon. :) The idea is available at: http://www.wedding-flowers-and-reception-ideas.com/fish-centerpiece.html I will be making alot of things myself. I have already bought DIY invitations from Michael's. I bought way more than I need but I plan on using the extras for numbered tables, save-the-date magnets, etc. My mother-in-law agreed to make the damask table rounds and the ring bearer's pillow for me. We have looked at places for the ceremony and reception in St.Augustine, FL. We have both decided we like the Oldest House Garden area for the civil ceremony. We also liked The White Room and San Sebastian winery for the Reception but still looking. I really want a horse and carriage to leave on. |
