Finding the "right" dress is harder than I thought. People say "oh you'll know the dress when you put it on". Really!?!
It's defintley a challenge to even try on dresses when you've got a chest. Most sample gowns are 10 and 12, therefore making it very difficult to get anything over my chest.
So relying on blind faith of the saleswoman and trusting that they have your best interest at heart and not your wallet you have to go with the vision. It's tough!
See having a chest is a curse...
I went with a v neck front and back alencon lace, simple a line. I must say that I do love it!
Farfromtheshore....it did get easier. I read a LOT of magazines about what would look best on my body type and really had to trust in the saleswoman at the boutique. I ended up spending more than I originally wanted but it was worth it! I just had to find the place as well as the dress....
You'll find it!
MN Bride Soon! I've heard that about David's but I was really turned off by the way they run their show and didn't want to have to deal with the issues that I've heard from MANY girls in my area.
I didn't mind paying more for my dress because I went to a boutique bridal salon and it was worth it. I had a WONDERFUL experience with the salon and would recommend the salon to ANYONE! It was a private appointment every time I was there, no other people or brides there while I was there and to me that was really important as I want all the attention of the owner/salesperson because this is such a huge purchase. But more power to you if you make out there! I do know a couple girls who went there to try on dresses to see what silhouettes looked good but then purchased at another salon...
Happy Hunting...
