This is hannah812a's Black Wedding!

I got together with my bridesmaids at the beginning of October to pick these dress out and get them ordered.
I could not believe how long they will take to come in!!! The bridal shop says we won't have them until the first week of January!
Good thing we got that done because it could have been disasterous.

I decided to go with these one shouldered Bill Levkoff gowns for my 3 bridesmaids. It was a winner because this dress looks good on any body type.

I wanted my MOH to have something that stood out so she picked out a deep V neck sphagetti strap gown by Bari Jay. I wish I had this dress for myself because I am in love with it (the picture does not do it justice at all).

Okay, so a lot! Has happened since my last post. I have been super busy getting all this figured out and it's finally all starting to come together!

About a month after my wedding dress came in I saw another one that I had to have. I fell in love with the lace details & the fit & flare style fits my body much better than the first one.

I am trying to sell my first dress (see my 2nd post) so if anyone is interested let me know.

I also decided to go ahead and get another dress for my reception. Something a little more comfortable and slim fitting.

This one probably the easiest decision I have ever had to make. I went to a wedding reception at The Blacksmith Shop in downtown Macon a few years ago. I knew the moment I walked in the door that I would without a doubt be having my reception there.

I would have loved to have the ceremony there also, but they can only accomodate 100 people for ceremonies and that will not be enough.

We chose to have our ceremony at Newton Chapel. It is very close to the reception site and my dad went to school at Mercer Univ. which is where the Chapel is located. Oh and I can't forget to mention that the place is GORGEOUS!

I felt so relieved once I had these places booked!

So I bought this dress after only being engaged for a week! My plan was to just go try on dresses to see what style I liked.
After trying on 6 amazing dresses I gave this one a shot and refused to leave without purchasing it.

The dress even fit me. It was a size 6 and I would only have to do minor alterations to the waist. So I ordered a 6.

I just went and picked it up last week and decided to try it on. I only hope that a seamstress will be able to take it in. Due to my wedding workout regimen the dress is so big it won't even stay on.

I guess that is a good thing......

How long did you date before you got engaged?
5 years....I know thats a long time but we wanted to wait until after we finished college

Did you get the ring you wanted?
Absolutely. It's perfect and he picked it all by himself.

Was the proposal a complete surprise?
Yes and No. I knew it was only a matter of time but I was still surprised.

Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small?
No way! I love my ring. It's exactly what I wanted.

Did you cry when he proposed?
Yes, like a big baby.
I even cried everytime I told someone we were engaged!

When do you want to go for your honeymoon?
We are getting married in February but we will probably wait until March for our honeymoon. We haven't planned it yet but I'm working on it.

Are you buying his wedding band for him?
Yes. He wants to help pick it out though.

Have you gone over your original wedding budget?
Waaaay over....oops :(

It's white, strapless, and ivory. I will post later.

Purple and White Lillies

Kind of wedding bands?
My band is little diamonds all around and his is whatever he chooses.

How will you wear your hair?
Either half up with wavy curls or pulled to the side.

Family and Friends

What will the groom wear?
It's his choice but we're thinking black suspenders instead of vests. We both really like that look.

I will be 24 and he will be 27

9 months or serious planning. Nothing will be simple!
