Change of Plans AGAIN!!
color and date change..have u had this problem?
ok, for the hopefully last time we have decided to change our colors to orange and blue but we are keeping the damask considering we already have bought damask things. Also we have moved our wedding up a year. No, I definantly did not want to but the place I wanted was booked the photographer was booked so we decided just to change the date. Besides we are trying to find a house, Im trying to get into medical school and a wedding also was just too much. If you see any orange and blue decor please let me know. Turns out it must not be a very popular color.

Ceremony Decor
if you have any ideas please let me know!
If we do go with the expo center, we need to decide how to decorate because it is just one blank canvas. I really like the idea of the drapes instead of the columns and I also love the idea of roses down the aisle. However, Im not sure if we should use columns down the aisle and put flowers on them or just hang flowers cups from the chairs. I would love any ideas or advice.

Did you go over your budget??
need help deciding please!!
Okay, so we had a budget for the wedding which was around 5,000. However, living were we do theres not many options on a place to have a ceremony or reception. Many places were already booked, ( apparently people like to book things 2 years in advance I guess) so we looked into the expo center. This is were concerts and ballgames occur. Well, we did like what we seen and it was close so family can attend however, to book the floor and the food its going to be close to 3,000. This does not include decoration, photographer, Dj, attire or anything. So it does cut things pretty close. I dont know if I sould just keep looking and be hopeful or book it and try to save were we can. What would you do? Did you go over your budget and was it worth it???

Finding Ties???
Know were to get them?
I need two black and white damask ties for the ushers and probaly four yellow and damask ties for the grooms men. However, the only one I have found is extremely pricey and its out of the budget, do you know were I can find these at or if someone has them for sale, I would greatly appreciate it.

New Centerpiece Idea
what do u think?
Our vases are black and tehf lowers would be yellow. Im not exactly sure how u make them, if you know please tell me. I think maybe you use a styrofoam ball and then stick the flowers in it? and not exactly sure what flowers to use either. But please let me know if you like or dislike, and be honest it wont hurt my feelings lol. I kow we had considered the feather vases but we do like this also. Since the engagement part was blue we have decided to swtich our wedding to yellow, black and white. Heopfully we dont change our minds again :)

Engagement Party
I know its been forever since Ive posted. But we keep going back and forth trying to decide on a big wedding or something small and intimate. Plus Ive had school and everything so we havent done any wedding shopping since the engagement party.. But its time to start back I guess lol. Heres some pics of the party. Although, almost nobody from my fiance's family attended because apparently it was too far away from them but honestly it was like a 30 to hour drive. So it wasnt that far alot of my family came and it was an hour away from them aw well.

Our Engagement Photos!!
Do you have a fav?
So we went to Pikeville and had our photos taken. It was so rainy that day but it cleared up like an hour before we took them. We love them and its different then what everyone around here usually does. Please tell me what your think,,,,do u have a fav?

Engagement photo shoot!!
Any prop ideas?????????
We are so excited to finally be doing our engagement shoot. It only took us going through 20 photographers and a whole day shopping lol. Natasha is been doing photography for years but not so much engagement shoots. However, I love her style its unique and modern. The only engagement photos she has done is the ones in the field. Were I live everyone gets their engagement shoots either in a field or around a lake so we have decided to have a more modern shoot and be different., I found my dress at Debs shop which I Highly recommend to anyone. They have gorgeous dress with low prices. I even seen a few that was gorgeous and long and the ighest prive I seen was 70.00. This would even be a great place to get bridesmaids dresses at problay 40.00 a dress. So if you have one around I would check into it if I were you. My dress is black and white with mtaching heels, Jons in a black shirt and slacks with a white tie and shoes. It kind of looks like a 50's theme but very cool. I posted a couple of natashas pics to give you an idea. Were going to be shooting in downtown pikeville, a very city like place
. I thought of making a sign that says Game Over or something, if you have any idea for props please let me know. :) |

How did you girls find venues?
I live in Kentucky in a small town and even including the surrounding counties theres no very pretty places to hold a wedding or reception. We dont attend a specific church and most people around here that get married have it at their church. I cant have a wedding far off or all family and friends wont attend. So, how did you girls come about finding the perfect place for your wedding?? Please help.
