Rent one decorated or buy one and decorate myself?

So I have a choice and do not know what to choose..I can buy one at Michael's with a coupon and pay a lil less than $30 and have to find time to decorate myself. Or I can rent one that is HEART-SHAPED and will decorated by someone else for total of $55.

This is how he decorated it and he said he could add more, but I told him I wanted lights!

First question, is it hard to decorate myself?

2nd, how can we add more?

It really depends what you want to do to it, my aunt gave me her old garden arch that needed serious painting haha, Im having an outdoor wedding so i wanted to keep decor simple. I am painting it white and wrapping some tool around it. All im paying for is tool cause we have left over paint from out fence. If you want lights and stuff, wait until after christmas where they are all 75% off and decorate with that. Ive also seen people put fresh flowers on the top for color, which looks amazing.

iI have seen these rent decorated for $225, why pay that when you can make it yourself!

I think if you buy it yourself and decorate it, it will be much cheaper than renting one. Luckily I found a lighted one on craigslist for $20 for the Bride who's wedding I am doing in August. I just have to add the decorations, in which I am going to add tulle and roses. The total price for the completed project will probably only be around $40 at the most. After her wedding, she is going to sell it to me for my wedding. YAY!
