wedding planning

I am so making these I think these are gorgeous I am really excited will post pics when i am done yay one more DIY

I am going to add lining to this and a zipper , the ribbon is attached to the cover only.

i am doing contrasting ones

two Purple with Candy Apple red ribbon
and one Red with lavender ribbon. what do you guys think open to suggestions.

For those of you who would like to make the above clutch here are the instructions. this one is crochet ( looks like lace i know) but the project goes fairly quickly - for those of you who don crochet you can simply take some heavy lace lay over satin or other choice of fabric ( must have some structure to it) sew aroung fold up and stitch sides the hand sew ribbon to cover add whatever other embelishments you like Happy Stitching and Wedding DIYing

small amount of WW yarn
size H crochet hook
fabric for lining
needle & thread

Finished size (after sewing together) depending on your own personal guage is about 9-10" long by 4-5" tall.

Special sts ~ FlyV 2dc, ch2, sc in the same sp

Ch 28.

R1 Dc in the 4th ch from the hook. (First 3 skipped chains count as dc) ch2, sc in same ch where first dc was made. (1 FlyV made) *sk 2 chs, FlyV in next ch*. Repeat * to last ch. Ch3, turn. (9 FlyV sts) Mark this as the bottom for sewing instructions.

R2 The ch3 at the end of the last row counts as the 1st dc of the FlyV st now and through out. Dc, ch2, sc in the first ch2 sp. *FlyV (2dc, ch2, sc) in the next ch2 sp* across. Ch3, turn. (9 FlyV sts)

R3-21 Repeat R2. You can continue repeating R2 to any desired length.

Finish off and weave in ends. Your edges will be slightly scalloped.

*
Before you sew up the sides to make the clutch, trace the outside of the crocheted piece on fabric for your lining.
*
You may want to iron on fuseable webbing/interfacing to the wrong side of your fabric for added stiffness.
*
Iron down all the edges and sew to the crocheted piece.

Now, fold the bottom, (the edge with the starting chain) up about 3 1/2 to 4" to make the inside pocket of the clutch, leaving about 3 1/2 to 4" for the top flap. Sew both sides to close the pocket. Sew on a flower or button on the outside to embellish.
