Well, we went over budget on our photographer. That's fine with me though. I think the photographer and photographs are the most important detail of the wedding. A good photographer can capture the feeling and emotion of the day to bring you back to that moment when you look at the photos.

I've never been a big fan of the cascading bouquets. I've always felt that they can over power the bride. But I found two cascades that I love. I love the little crystals in the first bouquet. Plus, here are some of the round bouquets that I like.

I love these DIY votives I found on Michaels website. Our reception is under a tent with very little light once the sun goes down. I want the warm glow of candles everywhere.

I found a good site to purchase small size items for bathroom baskets, bridesmaid bags and OOT bags. I've purchased from them before for travel sized items and they were easy to deal with. They have tons of items from individual packets of tylenol, ibprofen, deoderant wipes, to condoms.

We're not big fans of the line dancing songs, like the Electric Slide, Cha Cha Slide, and the Macarena. What songs do you not want played at your reception?

10. To the chagrin of your friends and family around you; your wedding is all that you can talk about. At dinner. At the gym. At your office. At Target. At your yearly check-up. In your sleep.

9. You download a count down clock that tells you the months, weeks, days, hours, and minutes until your wedding. Because you are that cute.

8. You quickly have run out of space in your 1 ½” wedding binder and now can fill at least five more.

7. You Tivo all the wedding cable shows and find yourself yelling at the brides at their ridiculous choice of wedding flower arrangements.

6. You have regular nightmares regarding your wedding. The DJ doesn’t show up, the prime rib you ordered comes out looking charred, and the cake is dumped on the floor because Aunt Martha’s eight unruly children are running through the reception hall.

5. You’ve maxed out your bridesmaid’s email server because of the sheer volume of pictures and constant itinerary updates.

4. You find yourself rehearsing what you will say in the thank you card to your cheap relatives that always bring gifts from the Family Dollar General Store.

3. You regularly miss your exit to you house off the highway because you’re lost in thoughts about the details of your wedding.

2. If you could get a dollar for every time you’ve said “because it’s my day” you realize you would probably be able to pay for a full hosted bar.

1. You’re so obsessed that you now speak in wedding short-text lingo. For instance; you tell your FOB that your MOB, MOG, and FI need to meet to discuss the OOT guest list and your FSIL’s son who is the RB. [Translation: You tell your Dad that your Mom, fiancé‘s mom and fiancé need to meet to discuss the out of town guest list and your future sister in law’s son who is the ring

She forgot...
blogging,staying up until all hours of the night on the computer and my favorite that I do all the time...I constantly go to heat something up in the microwave and forget that it's in there until an hour later, cause I'm distracted with the computer.

What are some of the things that you do that prove you're a wedding addict?

I laughed so hard when I saw this but it would be so perfect for my family. We have some real Twinkie, Suzy Q,and HoHo lovers in my family. We are not having children at the reception but I thought this would also be good for a kids dessert table or added to your candy table.

I got my STDs postcards today and they are even better in person! The quality is wonderful and the color turned out perfect. Those were the two thing I was afraid of. The best part....THEY WERE FREE!!! well had to pay shipping. If you haven't already signed up for their emails, I suggest you do...I get emails for free stuff all the time. I just ordered a personalized "JUST MARRIED" car magnet. For Free of course.

Will and I have a beagle that we got last year and he is like part of the family. Unfortunately, the venue where we are having the ceremony and reception doesn't allow pets on the property. We're so bummed that he can be there on our day. Anyone having their dog in the ceremony or at the reception?

I saw these on Anthropologie's website and I had to have them. Thankfully, there is a Anthro. store close by and they had 2 left! They were waiting for just for me. They are etched glass and I just thought they were perfect for us. Only $24 for the pair.

I was just wondering if you ladies think it is unclassy to send out a mass email asking for all my family and friends current address? In preparation for the STD's and Invitations I'm realizing I don't have most of my peeps addresses.

I made my Save the Date postcards on Vistaprint yesterday and got them for FREE!!! All I had to do was pay shipping and $3 to upload the damask image. So I got 100 postcards for $8. Gotta love vistaprint.

What are you serving for appetizers and meals? Are you doing sit down or buffet?

We just had our tasting on Sunday. It was yummy! Especially the cake part.

We're thinking fresh fruit waterfall, vegatable display with dips, feta and spinach stuffed mushroom caps, for appetizers. We thought the fruit and veggies would be refreshing since it could possibly be hot.

For the dinner we're going with a sit-down with a choice of chicken diane (parmasean crusted chicken with fresh steamed broccoli and mushrooms with a white wine drizzle) or prime rib with au jus. Side dish of Green beans almandine and parmesan roasted red skin wedges. They serve a spring mix salad first and then a palate cleansing sorbet before the entree course.

Yesterday was our one year until the wedding and Will surprised me at work with flowers. Not just any flowers he made sure they were in our wedding colors pink and green. They are beautiful jade roses and stargazer lilies. He is so thoughtful and I feel so lucky and blessed to have him in my life.

Today marks one year until our wedding!


MySpace Countdowns

Yesterday I bought a calligraphy book and kit. It was on clearance at Waldenbooks for $5.99. Yeaaa Bargin! I figure it worth a try to learn to do it myself. I still have a year left until our wedding, so I have some time. I think it would be a nice touch to have handwritten addressed invitations and place cards.

I was just browsing florist and center pieces and came across
a site that had a pretty basic center piece that I like, but when I looked at the price I almost fainted!! $125 for this? My mom
and dad's next door neighbor has a peony bush on the side of her house. I may have to sneak over in the middle of the night
and give it a little pruning the night before my wedding. I love peonies, but if they are that expensive I may have to rethink things.

My mom just emailed a picture of a Fleur de Lis napkin fold that she did.
I'll have to talk to our caterer to see if she would do this but I think it's a
nice touch.

I was in Carlton Cards today and came across this pink damask 6 picture frame, which I fell in love with. I thought I can use it somewhere at the reception (by the guest book) But it wasn't on sale and it was $22. I try not to pay regular price for anything. So, I decided that when I got home I would look online and try and find it cheaper. Well, wouldn't you know www.carltoncards.com had it on sale 50% off and I found some other little things too. I may give the heart frames to my parents and FI parents. It was only $3.73 And I just love the mini photo album it was only $3.73 too.

There are actually a lot of really cute frames and albums on sale.

I love bargin shopping!!!

Well, I had to do something yesterday while the site was down...So, I went shopping to every craft store near me. Joann Fabric, Michael's, Pat Catan's, even wal-mart. and I got some supplies to start some DIY projects. I'm going to try and make a guest book. I bought some fabric (french toile) and also ordered some online(pink/white damask & green/white damask), couldn't find the exact fabric at the stores. But I did get a blank memory book, some charms, ribbon, adhesives, I DO wooden letters, embossing corner punch, card stock, mirrored cake topper, even some blingy "maid of honor" and "mother of the bride" iron-ons. I can't wait to get the fabric so I start the guest book. Will wants to paint the "I DO" letters. I think it's sweet he wants to get involved.

I found this guest book on a couple sites but they are in Austrialia or England. They do ship to the US but with the dollar not doing so well and with shipping it comes to around 50 dollars. I really didn't want to spend that much on a guest book, but it looks like I might have to. If anyone has seen this please let me know. It would go perfect with my pink feather pen.

This site has some great bags, boxes, tissue. A lot of styles and themes that are being used in weddings on this site. I haven't found anyting yet that says if they are wholesale only. I hate when I come across that.

Since my future hubby and I are from Pittsburgh, we thought these personalized Heinz Ketchup bottles would be a perfect favor, except red is not one of our colors. Easy fix...put them in a green damask box!

We have always wanted to be introduced into the reception to U2's
Beautiful Day.
1st Dance song- Jeffery Gaines version of In Your Eyes. I love this song.
Will is a musician and he might play this song in the ceremony,
if he does we might dance to When you say nothing at all by Ronan
Keating or Breathless by Better Than Ezra. We haven't really decided yet.

My sister probably knows me better than I know myself. She really is my best friend. She has seen me at my best and worst, and I have seen her at her best and worst. We've traveled all over together. Recently, Chile. We have been to Virgin Islands together, road trip through Arizona and traveled through Europe for 5 weeks. We have so much fun together and so many shared memories, she is my maid of honor in life. I really am lucky to have a sister like her.

When the time comes I want to make these Fan Programs. I found the template from this lady who makes them and she shares her instructions and template. They are beautiful.

I love the first picture. It would be inexpensive and I think it's pretty. It would only work with that style chair and I'm not sure what kind of chairs our place uses. All I know is that they are white. I think they are probably more like the second picture which I like as well.

Not going to work. I just check on the website and our chairs are like the second picture but in white. It's the 3rd picture. That's ok, though, I really like the second pic too.
