A church ceremony
FH is not fully initiated as Roman Catholic and has agreed to finish up his initiation which will take 6 months of 10AM Sunday mass followed by a 1-2 hour discussion group after mass! And mind you this is all done on Football Sunday morning- All this to have our ceremony at my parish church (and to raise our children Catholic)!!!
He's clearly having a rough time adjusting. He refuses to call the priest father!!! Yikes! Please pray for him that he gets through this smoothly! |

I have been seeing all these cute banners for the back of the getaway car, so I had to make one!!! Also I am on a mission to settle what we are finally doing with our center pieces/ decor. I know am following the band wagon and using Mason jars!! Yesterday was perfect weather to hit the garage sales in Wayne, NJ and Saturday my mom and I will be searching through the Meadowlands fleamarket! I can't wait to see what treasures are in store for us!!

Ask a Question
Am I crazy for wanting to deconstruct my dress?
I keep looking at the photo of my dress on me and want to add major touches to it:
1. Sweetheart the neckline. 2. I already planned to place a petticoat to give it some more body. 3. I want to chuck the Satin sash and replace with a thin jeweled sash. 3. Place the jeweled sash lower on the waistline. 4. Add removable cap sleeves. I love how the last two dresses fall. If I could afford so I would have opted for that last dress. So basically I am looking for a more A-line look where my dress leans more towards the Empire waist style. Don't get me wrong I love my Casablanca 1900 but after going over my options I have seen from other brides, I am thinking this is the way to go! I pray my tailor is amazing! |

Groomsmen tuxedos and more...
It is crazy how there are so many options for wedding attire for women and menswear is very limited. Men's Warehouse probably provides the best deal for Men's suits and tuxedos offering the Groom a free rental or a $450 store credit when his party all rent from the same location! There are downfalls to this exchange though; there are no options of purchasing the tuxedo, you cannot try the exact tuxedo on in the shop because they do not carry it in-store, and their tailoring measurements are not exactly precise! Nevertheless we signed the boys up and they can start their fitting the earliest January up until April. Plenty of time- yes! FH is opting to check at Syms if they have a Tuxedo he can purchase, using MW as his default.
On another note, I finally received our custom stamp in the mail it only took a month and a half!!! I'm not quite sure what went wrong on their part but nothing to go crazy over and it is beautiful! Vendor: Emilie Friday @ Etsy. Also I decided my regular size 6,5 shoes may be hurting me by the end of the night and exchanged them for 7.0- they are only slightly loose and assure that my feet can breathe on the dancefloor!! |

Groom's Tuxedo
Gray
At first I was a little skeptical about the FH wearing a gray tux for our wedding and the groomsmen to wear black. I imagined, they may as well wear sleek suits. But after googling other grooms and groomsmen with this Tuxedo I was easily convinced. We are picking out the guy's tuxes tomorrow!!! Lets see if I stick to this decision!
