So, I decided that instead of getting gone of those really cute "little white dresses" to wear to the rehearsal dinner, that I wanted a punch of color and plus, i want to wait til the BIG Day to wear an all white dress!!

So, I ordered it from Alfred Angelo style# 6581 in Fuchsia!

Anyone else getting a rehearsal dinner dress!?

Wow, what an emotional weekend! Went to the Bridal Salon to try on "The Dress" for my Mom, Dad, and Grandma! They absolutely loved it, in fact we were all crying. The crying started when my consultant placed the veil and blusher on me! It was magical, everything I hoped it would be!!!!

The pictures do not even do the gown justice! The details in the beading, embellishments, the rouching, it all come together beautifully!!

I am going to have 6 bustles put in the back, as a french bustle! Love them soo much, and I had to order extra length in my gown because I am about 5' 9 1/2" so, the French bustle will be beautiful!! My consultant, Lisa, was fabulous! The first time she bustled it, she was like, "you are definitely a French bustle girl," lol!!!

It is so true what they say...you WILL find your perfect dress. I had tried on 50 + gowns and kept wanting to add some beading embellishment or add some pick-ups or rouching and then I tried on this gown!!! You get that feeling, of "this is the one!" A very strange feeling but, I couldn't be happier about my dress!!!

Ohhh...and I am totally rocking my veil during the Reception as well! Again, my consultant, Lisa, showed me how to take the veil off my hair from the Ceremony and put the comb under my messy up-do in the back! I have long curly brown/red hair so my curls pop on top of the veil!! I'm in LOVE with all of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, had a very productive WEDDING Friday with my MOH, 1 BM, and my MOB, met with the Invitation lady and got great ideas, need to finalize one I LOVE and w3e discussed all my flower wants/needs to our florist, lighting guy and gave him the Deposit for the BIG day! Soo excited! Just a few words of wisdom for Brides to be that have not yet booked with their florist...
1. Go double duty using 4-6 of your centerpiece floral toppers (mine will be on top of candelabras) and rent pillars for the aisles of the Ceremony! We decided on this and saved us about $400!!
2. Go double duty again, if u r getting married outside, under a gazebo, like we are.... use the Large floral arrangement that you are going to use for the top/front of the gazebo on the head table at the Reception!
3. Also going double duty on the 2 large pillars that will be next to the gazebo for an added floral look to set behind or next to the head table at the Reception!
.......This is working out for us because the floral designer we went with is staying at the ceremony until we are done and then is going move them himself to the Reception Ball Room upstairs in the Hotel!
......More advice...we had been to lots (i mean like 10) floral designers and decided upon Magnolia Wedding Services because we are able to rent our candelabras for $20 a piece vs. buying them each at about $125, also he has amazing, gorgeous previous Wedding photos to look at on a slide show in his shop. We had a consult with him and when I had ideas on bouquets he went into the back where they were busy doing other Wedding flowers and would make small bouquets and bring them out to show me!!! Great for a visual :) Soo very excited about the floral look.....it will be amazing!!!!!
We also added, because I HAD to have it, 15 hot pink up-lighting to the Ball Room...it will be beautiful!!!

Yes! He did a great job picking it out!

Yes, it was! I had absolutely no idea!!!

Absolutely, I was crying soo much that I forgot to say anything, hehe!

*Was the proposal romantic or creative?***
Romantic, he planned a beautiful dinner on our patio around sunset and when I cam outside with the bottle of wine, he was down on one knee :)

*Where do you want to go for your honeymoon?***
We are going to St. Thomas for 10 days!!!!

*Have you gone over your original wedding budget?***
Not yet, I am doing really well!!!

5! My cousin/best friend of 27 years! and my 4 bridesmaids all of us have been friends for over 10 years!

Hot Pink, by Priscilla of Boston, can't remember the style # at this moment!?!?

*What kind of cake/what will it look like?***
It is white w/ boysenberry frosting, 6 tiers, with beautiful fresh hot pink peony flowers running down the sides!


*What kind of dress will you have/color/material?***
Undecided! Going dress shopping in3 weekends :)

***What kind of flowers in your bouquet?***
White roses, peonies, and hot pink anemones.

***How will you wear your hair?***
Half up with a veil

*What will the groom wear?***
Black tux w/ all black under

*How long on Honeymoon?***
10 days!

*How long will you be engaged before you get married?***
Almost 6 years!!!

*Live together before or wait till married?***
Yes, we have lived together now for almost 4 years!

*Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding?***
The Resort where we are having the ceremony & reception has a day of coordinator available for us, sooo relieved when I found this out!

***Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made?***
Will want to use the traditional vows. We are both to emotional to be able get out and remember our own vows, lol :)

So, today is Day 1 of my P90x journey! I am feeling good, eating good today. Looking forward to tomorrow!

A friend of mine got married last year and did P90x and she lost about 36lbs and 8% body fat in 90 days!!! So I thought well, I have been working out a lot and have lost about 26lbs now since the Engagement so Why not!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will post pics at 30, 60, and 90 with my fabulous transformation!

I can't believe that in 12 months from today we'll be getting Married! It seems like just yesterday he proposed! (actually Feb13). The planning is going strong! I have a lot done but, a lot left to do !!!

So, I think that these are what we are going to order as our favors for our Wedding guests! They come with a customized tag. I haven't ordered them yet because I am still deciding if I like them. However, My Mother absolutely loves them :)

This is a picture of the Garden/Gazebo where we will be having the Ceremony! It is decorated in Red, for a Wedding. But, I had to take a picture of it :) Do you think it will look great decorated in Pink!? I am having a much longer aisle runner that goes all the back, like 80ft to huge double glass doors! I will have pink flowers lining the runner, flowers over the top of us on the gazebo and 2 pillars on both sides with the pink.purple flower motif.

Sooo excited! We booked a Photo Booth for our Wedding Reception! I originally saw one of these on TV, when I was watching Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz Wedding, lol! I thought wow, babe, if we get married some day...we have got to look into this!!! So, here we are a few years later...saw this wife/husband team from All Star Photo Booth at a Bridal Show in Newport, they gave us a really good deal, free scrapbook table and book as a keepsake for my FH and I, and saved like $300! All-in-all I think that it will be a great addition to the Reception!!

Oh, and did I mention, it prints a copy of the picture in 10 seconds, with our custom graphic for our guests to keep! And you can fit up to 8 people in there :)

Can't wait!!!

So these are a couple Gowns that I LOVE! I am big busted, and a wear a size 18-20 Wedding dress. ALL of these were so flattering on! I just wanted to let other "plus-size" brides know. If you go on their website, Demtrios, they have Full Service Bridal Salons all over the country and they have tons of different sizes available for trying on!

Another thing that gets me....Why is it that I am size 14-16 regular clothes, look healthy, not over weight I don't think, and when you go Specialty Boutiques they tell you, that you can "try" and squeeze you into their size 8-10 dresses! That is total crap to me! Don't designers know that the average size woman today is a size 12 or 14! Don't they remember how good Marilyn Monroe looked!? She was a size 14!!!!!!

Wow, that felt good...nothing like a good vent session!!!
