So please don't laugh (too much anyways!!) at my Paint project to get an idea of what my top hair style choices would look like with my dress. Sometimes a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do :)
I'm thinking I like the second option best since I can visualize how my hair flower would look (mine is very similar to the one in the pic). But I'm torn since FH's one request through all of this has been for my hair to be down & curled. I would LOVE to do have my hair down & curled, but I have very long, very thick, stick-straight hair that doesn't like to hold a curl so I am worried about my hair looking flat by the time the ceremony starts since we will be doing all of our photos before the ceremony.
So which one do you like best?? Also, any suggestions on products that might help my hair keep & hold a curl?? Thanks Ladies...you all are THE best!!!!!
#1 or #2 go amazing with this dress!
I totally hear you about the curling issues!! So frustrating! I also have hair that refuses to wear a curl! It's not even pin straight; it's more like kinky. Anyway, I have found a method that works best for me and I have tried every possible product and method out there. My hairdresser mists my hair with water (in a spray bottle) and hairsprays each section prior to and after putting in Velcro rollers. I recommend Aussie Instant Freeze Hairspray. She then puts me under the dryer for about thirty minutes. She waits until my hair has cooled completely before removing the rollers, which is so very essential to set the curl. She then hairsprays it again after she has styled it (she usually pins some of the face-framing pieces back, so it isn't too big because I have thick hair). She doesn't fuss much with the curls because the more you touch them, the quicker they will fall and handling the curls too much also encourages frizz. I have gotten it done for other special occasions and it lasts for quite a while. Even after it's fallen, there is still some wave to it, so it doesn't look bad. I am planning to wear my hair half-up, half-down on my wedding day and will be going for a trial prior to see how long it lasts (this time I will time it). I really do have my heart set on this style!
Sorry for the long post, but I thought it may be helpful to break it down step by step. Hope this helps a fellow bride-to-be with ridiculously stubborn hair :)
