So I went to my seamstress' home today for my second fitting with her...so please excuse my lack of primping :)
Since my first fitting, she has sewn my Victoria's Secret miraculous push up bra into the dress along with another set of pads...lol!!! I wanted some bombshell cleavage for this one day and she has sewn her magic into the dress ;)
For those who haven't read my previous post of my first fitting in the bridal salon, it did not go well. The dress was too tight around my hips, bunching weird around my waist, and the pleats on the bodice were 2" shorter than the sample gown.
After having my first fitting with my seamstress, she informed me she could sew additional pleats on to the bottom of my bodice if I was able to get extra material. I had the bridal salon call the designer & I received my extra yard of fabric for my fitting today on Monday! I have this imaginary line I have "drawn" across my legs that I used when trying on dresses. If the dress wasn't fitted to that imaginary line, it was a no-go. While at my fitting today, I decided I wanted two additional pleats to be sewn on to be completely & utterly in love with my dress.
At my next fitting, the pleats should be added & the bustle should also be done. I can't wait to try it back on again with the pleats added :D
Thanks for commenting on My Ribbon Wands, Here is my response back to you: I think it's just in the means of having something different. Some venues or ceremony locations are anal about certain things to be released during or after ceremonies. Rose petals are nice, but I've heard of some places are against it because of staining or littering. Same thing for bird seeds and rice. Rice is a big no-no now, because of the swelling in birds bellies, causes them to explode or something like that. People aren't really doing bubbles anymore. Sparklers are a hit, but some places ban those as well. So here we are, ribbon wands! Make excellent photo props. Something different is what people a fishing for. Also inexpensive? (smile)
