So we were doing really good for a while, but then we kind of just stopped. Today we made some progress again and really don't have that much left....well, maybe we do, but now we have less than yesterday. Today we met with the florist and discussed everything. We picked my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquet, corsages, boutonnieres, flower girl, reception decor, and discussed the ceremony. We are waiting to see some pictures of a a recent wedding before making decisions about the ceremony decor. Clearly nothing is set in stone, but he has an idea of what he'll need to do and we have an idea of what we are getting and how much we will be paying. After an hour and a half with the florist, we picked up my grandma and headed out of town to check out bridesmaid dresses. My grandma is the perfect size for the bridesmaid dresses and my in town bridesmaid had to go out of town at the last minute, so we had my grandma try on all the dresses for us. She fit them perfectly and she loooved getting to try on all those dresses! We finally decided on a dress that is right at the price I was shooting to stay around. We looked at flower girl dresses and found some that were $200, which is way more than we'd ask our friend to spend. I ran into the flower girls mom and told her we found a few and I'd give her options since some were rather expensive. My mom and I searched the internet and e-mailed her links to dresses ranging from $24-$200. I told her these were ones I liked, if she saw one she liked feel free to get it, if not, I trust her judgement. One less decision I have to make! I think if I had fewer bridesmaids I would do the same thing, but with 5 people who don't all know each other it just isn't an option.
I may have made a color decision today... I'll sleep on it and then try and find some pictures to post so I can get some opinions..
