Dress Shopping
So, I went dress shopping this past weekend and as much fun as it was it was also stressful. Did anyone else find this? I found some that i liked, but some of the sales ppl were so annoying. I think I thought it was going to be a lot easier to find a dress that I love...I am also a very indecisive person which doesn't help. lol. Anyways I wanted to offer advice to anyone who hasn't been dress shopping yet...you may love a dress in a picture, but you really don't know until you try it on. There were a lot of dresses I found online that I liked, but when I went shopping I found that a lot of styles made me look short. How is/was dress shopping going for everyone else??

Do your rings and your fiance's match
This might sound like a stupid question but I was just wondering if anyone was in the same situation as I am in. My rings are yellow gold, but yesterday my fiance and I went to look for his ring and he picked out a really nice Tungsten ring...we both liked it, but at the same time it doesn't match my ring. Does this matter? Is it really a big deal? Pls tell me what you honestly think. Thanx!!

Reception Site
So, my FI and I went to look at a banquet hall last Saturday and I fell in love with it. It is the perfect place for us and is the perfect size for our wedding. It is also in the same town as the church we want to get married in. It is also fairly cheap for the food and the hall including taxes it comes to roughly 5,339.00. I was so happy when we figured out the price because every other place we have looked at is way out of our price range. We are going to meet with the decorator for the place on Friday and hopefully give the hotel our downpayment! Soo happy and relieved to have found a place!

Wedding Reception
Ahhh
Today I have been calling around to places and emailing the places that we are interested in having the reception at. Let me tell you it has not been fun. Some ppl are just not helpful at all...annoyingly so, others have been very rude and then the few places that weren't even high on my list have been the nicest ppl in the world. Sometimes I don't understand ppl....You would think they would be very kind and courteous considering the amount of money they would be getting!! GRRRR!..Very frusterating!

Bridesmaids
Bridesmaids Dresses!!
So, far these are what I have been thinking for the bridesmaids. The dress colour would be black with the sash color being silver. I haven't decided on the style of the dress yet, but it will probably be halter or spaghetti straps. These dreses are from Forever Yours so the only place they are sold in Canada that I have found is Montreal...which is not close to me at all! lol. So I have been thinking of ordering them in the girls sizes and then just getting them altered by my aunt. These dresses are also sold in Pensacola Florida where my father lives so another option is to get them when I go down this summer. Im still looking though to see if I can find a similar style dress. Wish me luck!!

Jr. Bridesmaid and Jr. Usher??
I have two nephews and one niece. By the time I get married the oldest boy (ZAchary) will be 9 and the oldest girl (Anna) will be 7. Originally I was going to have Anna be the flower girl and zachary and Jack (age 4) be the ringbearers, but now I'm thinking of having Anna as the jr. bridesmaid, Zachary as a junior usher, Jack as the ringbearer and then find someone else to be the flower girl, but im not sure if 7 and 9 are too young to be jr. bridesmaid etc. Please tell me what you think!...Thanx a bunch!! :)

The Proposal
My fiance and I have been dating for almost four years now and we had talked about getting married, but it still didn't prepare me for the day when he did propose. It was Saturday January 19, 2008 and I had a BOSU course at the gym that day from 12 to 5 and he told me that he would pick me up after it and we would go for a walk since he would be cooped up in the house all day. I was like alright sounds good. So after the course my friends and I were in the change room geting ready to leave when my roommate Aislynn asked me what she wanted to take home for me since we would be walking. So I gave her everything except for my water bottle, but she insisted that she take it so I was like fine....although I must say I was a little annoyed because I was still really thirsty. lol. So then James met me in the lobby and I started to walk in the direction of home when he stopped me by saying he wanted it to be a longer walk and wanted to take the scenic route which was down this little path between the gym and the college. I agreed even though I just wanted to get home as I was tired and it was really freakin cold out lol. So as we were walking he stopped me to look at the sunset and this was when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was so shocked that I even asked him if he was serious. lol. I said yes, but I couldn't stop crying from shock and happiness. It was the best day of my life even though I cried on and off the whole night. We went back to my house where he made me dinner and then we went out to celebrate with some of our friends. I always told him that I wanted to be surprised and he succeeded in that very well. :)
