Update....
Well ladies, today I got the results of my blood work and ultrasound. (see previous post for full story). Blood work=normal. Ultrasound=not so much. He says my ovaries and uterus actually look quite normal and healthy. HOWEVER....There is a growth of some sort just adjacent to my right ovary. And the ultrasound didn't show anything that would be causing me NOT to have periods. Oh, the joy. What does this mean? I have to have a Laparoscopy. Basically, he'll make an incision in my belly button, and two near my bikini line. It'll be an outpatient procedure, and I'll have about 2-3 days of recovery time. I've never had any kind of surgical procedure, so I'm super nervous. I just hope and pray that he finds the reason for my lack of periods. Today was so frustrating, when he said "I don't know why." At least I have a doctor who's aggressive and willing to do whatever it takes to find out why. He did say something about drilling holes (one each) in each ovary. Something about this will "jump start" my system?

Searching...
Hi ladies...I've been searching the internet for red flats. or something with a chunky, low heel. I have issues with my left ankle, and I can't wear tall, thin heels. I need the shoes for a wedding. I'm trying not to spend more than $50. and that's figuring really high. I found some at Target and Payless, but they're kind of a flat black. I'd like to have somethig really pretty and kinda formal looking.
I kinda figured you ladies might be able to point me in the right direction. Websites that you've come across. Shoes you've purchased. Ideas of where to look. Whatever. :) |

***UPDATE***: My appointment today yielded little information. He talked to me for awhile, making sure to understand my concerns and symptoms. Then, they drew a LOT of blood (like 6 vials!) and they're sending me for an ultrasound on Wednesday. I have a follow up appointment on the 19th, and we'll go over my labs then, and hopefully have a diagnosis. He also said that if I haven't had a period by the 19th, he'll give me something to force one. So now, I wait. Its a little frustrating, but at least we're working towards a solution :)
So my cycles aren't regular. At all. My last cycle was in February. This last week, I started having pretty bad abdominal pain. I made a doctors appointment, and I'm going tomorrow to see what the heck is wrong with me. At first, I was exhibiting a lot of the signs of pregnancy, but numerous tests have come back negative. I'm just really scared they'll tell me that my ovaries are trashed and that I can't have kids. I've been googling possible causes....scaring myself sh!tless. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Endometriosis, Fibroid Tumors....I need to stop googling LOL! Does anyone have any other experiences like this?? I could really use some personal experience stories, or just words of support or encouragement. I'm trying to stay calm, and know that whatever is meant to be will be. |

but not. HELP!
Ok....so my dear friend is getting married next month. (HOLY CRAP....NEXT MONTH!)
She's already been married once before. She divorced last year after her husband left her. LONG story. She's met a great new guy, and they're getting married. Soon, I know. but I don't question it. He's fantastic. I know it would be so, so rude to have another bridal shower for her. SO we're having a Pure Romance party!! Only problem is that her sisters are super, duper conservative. We want them to be there, but no way will they show up if they know what it is. The consultant is a good friend of mine, and she's going to do a "tame" party. I.E.: she'll have all the toys on hand, but won't demonstrate them unless in private with anyone who might be interested. (LOL that sounds SO dirty....you all know what I mean!) So I need to find a way to phrase the invitations in a way that doesn't scream bridal shower, but also doesn't give away what we're doing :p I think I'm going to phrase the invites as a "Girls Night In" to "celebrate the engagement of".... Does that sound like an OK way to phrase it, without coming across as "BRIDAL SHOWER!!"?? Also, do I put "no gifts, please" or just leave that up to the attendee?? I really, really don't want people to think its another shower. Its not. Its just a fun way for all of us to get together and celebrate her impending marriage :) Please, please give advice!! Engagements/Anniversary
Hello lovely ladies....these are some engagement/anniversary pictures I took recently. See, the boy...he's my husbands cousin. They eloped last February. This April, they're having a reception to celebrate. They never went through the formalities of engagement....so they asked if I would take some 'engagement' pictures for them. It was right around the time of their one year wedding anniversary, hence the "engagement/anniversary". Please comment and leave constructive criticism, if you'd like. As I've mentioned before, I'd love to start a business in the next few years, after I've had a little more formal training. :)

Adding to my portfolio...
SOOO...I'm a budding photographer. I've had no formal training, just a few classes here and there. And a love for the camera and capturing moments with it. I've been using my friends and family to build my portfolio....taking newborns, engagements, families, etc.
What does this have to do with anything? Today....I booked a wedding. A.FRIEKING.WEDDING!!! aaaaahhhh!!!!!! Its for a family member. She had another photographer lined up, and said photographer suddenly decided she wanted to charge an arm and a leg, and her portfolio isn't much bigger than mine. Bridals were scheduled for 2 weeks for tomorrow. Wedding is 4 weeks from tomorrow. Of course, I'm ecstatic, and I'd LOVE to do her pictures. I'm so excited! I had a long talk with her about it, because I was really concerned about her relying on an amatuer. However, she and fiance are completely confident in my abilities. Again, what does this have to do with anything?? I'm just wanting your help....give me websites of photographers, pictures, etc. I'm gaining inspiration :) We have a family wedding tomorrow, and I'm going to play around a little bit, because its at the same location (Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple). So...bring on the ideas ladies!!! :D |

My adorable new nephew was born yesterday! He's SOOO cute! I took a couple (thousand) pictures. And I cannot resist the urge to show him off. Love him SO MUCH!
He was 8 pounds even. 20.5 inches. He doesn't really look like he's 8 pounds....but then you hold him for a little bit, and you realize he is most definitely 8 pounds! :D |

What to do??
My best friend got married 3 years ago. She just called me to tell me that her husband was moving out of their home, and that they're divorcing! My heart immediately broke and I started to cry. We have a huge group of friends....we all hang out together. This is so hard to take in. She's working today....which is good for her, I think. I won't see her till tomorrow-we're meeting for lunch. Now...I've dealt with divorce before. My own parents are divorced. But when they divorced, it was right. This just seems so...wrong. I've never had a friend divorce before. I'm allowing myself to...mourn?...a little bit today. But tomorrow, I need to be very strong for her. What are some words of encouragement I can give to her? Divorce is never easy, of course. I just wanna have some inspiring/comforting words to share with her. Thanks ladies!
