Titanium or tungsten rings must be ordered in the size he needs. These can not be re-sized.

The bride typically pays for the Grooms ring.

I already bought my fiance's ring at the same time he bought my wedding band. He wanted a gold band so I found one I liked that had satin finish on it and it was unique.
You can pretty much buy it at anytime you feel comfortable. Don't rush though lol you want to look around first for good quality jewelry that will last.

We just bought my fiances' ring yesterday!
He had actually gone and found the ring one day when he was out shopping on his own. It was tungsten as well - which I was a little leery of since it can't be resized, and, (horror of horrors) should he ever need to have it cut off his finger, it's a huge ordeal...., but he had done some research prior to finding it, and knew that's what he wanted.

We tend to purchase all the wedding stuff together - we have a budget for the wedding, and the rings were accounted for in that.

My FH paid for his own ring! We are getting married in 5 months time and he bought it about 2 wks ago and sent it to be sized and engraved so we have to collect it soon.

Well I personally got a great deal on my finance ring, I actually bought it maybe a month after we were engaged. A local jewerly store had a amazing sale and I think the ring was about 900, I only paid 200 and that was with the warranty and all. But I say if you can catch a great deal get it soon. But grooms rings arent expensive so you can wait on it as well.

It's nothing wrong with titanium rings. They are cheaper than white gold and platinum so you will save money.
