Wedding Reception
Found a reception site
I haven't done much planning since I got engaged on Christmas 2009, but I've gotten my butt back into gear. I've checked a ton of places out and I think I have it narrowed down. My favorite place is a golf course. They have a large patio that would be big enough to hold 150 people for the ceremony that over looks the course! The inside is beautiful and the lady that handles the weddings seems really nice and helpful! I like that they handle the food, bar, set up, clean up, and allow us to bring in our own cake! I haven't booked it yet, not really sure why yet, I guess I'm holding out until I've checked absouletly everything.

Michaels is having a sale!
Michaels is having a sale on Ashland Spring flowers. They are 50% off. I didn't plan on buying any flowers yet for our centerpieces and bouqets, but I couldn't pass up the great deal. I bought 42 calla lilies which I think will work for our centerpieces, but I think I'll need more for our bouqets.
If your doing your own flowers I would check out Michaels this week! |

Engagement Photos
I've been thinking about engagement photos, however we're not getting married until 2012. Is it to early to have engagement photos? My mom says it is, however I think they are ENGAGEMENT photos and they should be taken closer to your engagement. What do you ladies think? Should we take them soon or wait a year?

Engagement
Yeah were engaged
Finally after 6 long years we are engaged!!! We met in high school (hence the name) and dated for four years before purchasing a home together. I've kind of expected it for awhile and thought the day would never get here! On Christmas 2009 while opening presents together he gave me a present that had been in the fridge for 2 days. I thought it was food. I expected to get engaged before the end of the year, but I had no idea my ring would be in the fridge! When I upwrapped the box it was filled with fresh rose petals and the ring box was in the center. I looked up and he was getting down on one knee with the ring in his hand.
I'm so excited to start planning everything....even if we plan on waiting 2 years! Its never to early to plan the most amazing day of your life! I can't wait to see and share ideas with all of you WBC brides! |
