Our budget is small ($5000) and I have taken the bull by the horns planning away. So, we had to choose from 2 super venues. One has a beautiful gardens, flowers & statues on every side of it..and a building where we could use the upstairs room and a room downstairs for the entire day for less than $500. We would have to rent tables and chairs. Initially I thought this was perfect, located in historic Ghent in Norfolk, but quicky realized that parking would definitely be a problem as well as a few other things, We have decided to go with venue #2 which is a center with a gigantic room that was once 2 rooms. All chairs and tables are on location and the venue coordinator will be setting them up and putting them away. The price for this one is $700. We will do everything in this one room minimizing the stress on ourselves and guests. Since our guest count is 100 and this room has the capacity to hold 200., I think that this is definitely doable. I am really enjoying planning.
