So its the shoes, the clothes and the lifestyles, but these women are over extended because they have it all- and I think its FABULOUS. I love this show, but yeah I keep thinking will my relationship lose out because of my career, because I know its gonna be a long haul and HE does sometimes expect me to be around all the time and his fifties housewife. Whats more I have babies on the horizon in the next ...well before I am 30!! Orders of FH!!

Can we really have it all?? I want it... i want the career, the marriage, children and yeah I dont want to ever think about money again in my life....but somethings got to give...

Oh well, I will cross that bridge when I get there

I am so mentally and physically exhausted from this.... i feel like I am way too old to be doing thing, then again I have been in school consistently for the last...years I am 26 now and I am sick of studying I just wanna start this career already- see post above for inspiration. No I am not a perpetual student, I am just trying to get somewhere.
SO anyway you might have seen the women in Africa carrying earthen bowls full of water from the river to their homes, and how they balance everything just right....my Mom was telling me that if I stopped concentrating now, it would be like I was dropping the calabash just as you are about to get home....

Well I have exams in 11 days and this is how I am spending my time, talk about displacement activity!!!!

So seriously, I have been engaged for 7 months and this is my second nightmare. Last night I dreamt that I didnt have ANYTHING ready in terms of my own look. My makeup wasnt done, my nails werent done, my HAIR wasnt done!! IF anybody know me, that is a nightmare. I remember running to the salon, at 3pm when the ceremony was supposed to start at 3pm. My hair not looking right, and then when i went to do my own make up (which is not unusual), the MAC studio fix was just coming out in clumps on my skin. The lady doing my nails as a favour was putting on the most hideous sparkly, pink nail varnish, and it didnt even look professional. All the while my little brother was trying to get me a, finger tip veil from a bridal boutique down the road!!!!
I also kept wondering what FH was thinking standing at the altar!!!

Am I crazy ???(in the first nightmare the day came, and I didnt even have a dress !!)

N'all my days, i'd never.... I am going to lose hair or something in the run up...

Ahhh!! And I think FH's niece would be the perfect angel in it....

I followed it through with a gold dress bridemaids dress that tickled my fancy just because it winked at me. I like the color but not sure it would suit all of my bridemaids...But this is for inspiration is it not.....

This man is so gifted, every time I look at any of his transformations I feel like its a different world, its always fun but surreal. I love the fact that he does so many flowers you can almost smell them from the picture. His philosophy is definately NOT less is more, more is less!! If that makes sense- he takes one flower and he repeats it over and over again in different ways until you dont even know what you are really looking at. To me he is an artist, one that I cannot afford (lol)
I like the glittering feel of the lighter productions (not a huge fan of the overly colorful ones but I guess its just not MY cup of tea)
I like delicate things, dreamlike eg my whole living room is cream, cream carpet, couches, rugs, curtains, and then I one dark wood mirror (which is in between rooms - its supposed to be pinned to the bedroom wall). Okay this lack of variety is partly due to brokeness being a student, but it is also because I like the clean lines. Our kitchen is all silver, appliances and a vintage looking silver fridge freezer. Our bedroom is chocolate, dark java furniture, dark fluffy covers with turquoise curtains and turquoise embroidery on the sheets- We like things simple but sumptious,
If i could put some accents in the living room it would be maybe some gold fluffy pillows, and maybe some red wine accents- maybe a slice of Morrocco meets Egypt. I dont know, or just vases of fresh flowers, or just one orchid- yeah I am full of contradictions.
