My broom
This is my finished broom for the jumping of the broom ceremony. I searched high and low for this broom and found it in Michaels for 2 bucks. I bought some ribbon, silk flowers and faux pearls and voila...presto!

My cardbox
So this box took me like 6 hours to do. And it's still not finished. I have to add the silk flowers to the top. I bought 3 hatboxes from Burlington Coat Factory, some fabric, ribbons...and voila! I will post pics up of it with the topper as soon as I'm done.

Broom Bearer
Her dress
I took my broom bearer to Davids bridal and my moh tagged along. This dress was the best for her body type. She's a size 26 and her boobs are huge...lol! So' she needed a dress that could disguise those watermelons. I also took the liberty in trying on another dress, same size as my dress now, but different style. I was devastated when that dress couldn't fit. Cause mind you, I still haven't tried my dress on after a year yet. The sales lady told me that the dress I tried on ran really small, so I shouldn't be alarmed yet. I gotta try my dress on...

I'm back!
I'm Feeling a little better
So I've been M.I.A. for a little while trying to get some things accomplished. I didn't do much, but I'm much better now.Me and the fh got our marriage license a week ago on April 30th. We are sooo happy we got that done..My broom bearer purchased her dress on saturday, May 1st. I wasnt gonna even do the jumping of the broom ritual at first, but a couple of people brought up the fact that we have all of my fh's siblings in the wedding party but her. So me being me, I felt bad and added her in. o yea and I did my card box. Im gonna post pics.

STRESSED
Im starting to feel the pressure
Here it is 47 days left until my wedding and I didn't even get started on none of my diy projects. I'm such a procastinator... I need to stop doing this to myself. All I've been doing is spending spending spending and then throw all the bags and packages that arrive in the mail in my closet. Couldn't even find my clogs for work this morning because its soo many boxes and bags in the way (and btw my closet is huge) I still have to:

-Make my card box
-Design a monogram for my aisle runner
-Once monogram is made, paint aisle runner
-Decorate my letter cake topper
-Do my programs
-Decorate the broom
-Dye my petticoat slip
-Make favors
-Do my seating chart
-Make place cards
-Decorate Table numbers
-Omg... centerpieces
-Possible alterations on my dress if it dont fit
-Bouquets and boutonnieres
-Finalize honeymoon

And im sure there's more... i just can't think right now.

Wedding Reception
Tough decision
When my fh and I went looking for a place to hold our reception, we knew that we wasn't trying to spend over $50 pp and we wanted open bar. We had to have see about 10 places and we narrowed it down to 3 being our favorites. My absolute favorite was this country club...but fh didnt want to spend the extra $5 pp... i was a little bummed, but got over it. So after a week of thinking between the final two places we chose Di' Pintos because they said that they would throw in the ceremony for free. I was sooo happy about that. Its a few things that we are gonna change as far as the decor like chair covers, tablecloths,and centerpieces but the overall hall is nice.

Wedding Dress
So as soon as he proposed, I ran down to my local Davids Bridal and bought my dress in April of last year. I heard so many horror stories about brides that went to Davids and was reluctant about going at first, but Im glad that i did go to them because they was really nice and very helpful.

My only problem with it now is like I said I bought it a year ago and its been stored away ever so neatly is I hope it still fits...lol! I havent tried this dress on since and im kinda scared to. Im gonna do it soon and I will update yall on whether or not it fits.
