Wedding Reception
One of the Favours..
So we have two favours actually.. one is for everyone its a tiny silver box witha blue ribbon and includes two big lindt chocolates - one wrapped in a snowman theme and the other is a light blue.. SOO YUMMY!! And our other favour is one per couple, my future last name will be ... Card.. SO this was my idea as a little play on that name.. we are handing out a deck of cards. hehe. The box is decorated in the design we choose, and we also get it in a little organza bag in whichever colour as well! :)

Silver Trees - Ceremony Decorations
Soo I saw a great idea online, and thought hmm I could do that. So I chopped down half our tree limbs in the backyard, and started spraypainting!
I used silver metallic spray paint from Canadian tire (4.99 a can) I found the vase at the Dollarama (1.50 a vase) And the snow I bought last year at the end of winter.. Althought I still need 2 more bags oops! (were like 30 cents a bag lol!) And I have ribbon to tie around it still, but I havent decided if I am going to do a bow, or just wrap the ribbon around the vase once. Hmm. oh well. Im still making 3 more of these but I ran out of paint! Lets just say you will probably need at least a can per vase it takes a lot of paint to make sure the twigs are all painted. The puppy doesnt go with it hahaha, he was just walking in front of the camera all the time so i put him there :) |

Name Tags for Tables !
So I saw these mittens online that were really cute, but really cant afford it, sooo this is my idea for the mittens. I tried writing the name right on the mittens.. well lets say that looked like soo horrible lol, so this is the only other chioce I had!
I cut out the mittens myself, and bought the little cards on weddingstar, and used silver pen to write on names, but I think I am going to try getting a white pen from Michaels. |

Signature Board DIY
SO, I love the ideas of having a photo framed signed board, with a photo in the centre, like the ones you can purchase at so many different places! Well in order for people to write more, we may be using a Foam Board which you can get at Michael's or Wal-mart for like 2-5 dollars, and get a photo enlarged to an 8x10, and have people sign the board, and then after the wedding take it to Michael's and have it custom framed! I think its a great idea if you are expecting a lot of guests, or people who like to leave long messages!! haha!!

Wedding Flowers
Already have my flowers!
I saw online a photo of an amaryllis and tulip bouquet pretty much as soon as we got engaged, and I fell in loooove. This is our version, its not as extravagant, but meh, no big deal. haha. I had these flowers done by Jennifer Prego - Treasured Moments flowers. She is from Barrie, and so super nice! She did such an amazing job, and of course these are silk, so I have them wayyyyyy in advance which is nice! I am not having bridesmaids bouquets but rather Muffs, which im ordering from an Ebayer! These flowers were inexpensive, (and I mean under $300 (my bouquet, 8 boutons, and 3 corsages). The corsages and boutons are orchid (silk obviously). Boutons are single orchid and corsages are double :)
She was great, and I recommend her to anyone! She also gave me a quote onlnie just by saying what I would like and she stuck by her word with what she quoted! http://tmfloraldesigns.webs.com/apps/photos/ |
