The Knot Wedding Shop for Canadians

Hey ladies,

So I'm having one heck of a time here trying to buy personalized/engraved gifts for the groomsmen, our ushers and our mc. I found the PERFECT items on theknot.com, realized they wouldn't ship to Canada so contacted an acquaintance in the States and thought I had all the problems solved. Now I just received an email saying that they won't use "International" credit cards... what the heck? Isn't a Visa a Visa or a MasterCard a MasterCard? I'm confused.

Anyway, they advised me to use AmericanBridal because they do International Shipping and take international credit cards.. Seems like a good idea but the shipping is going to cost $60 for a $120 order! Even if I ship it to the States the shipping cost isn't any cheaper because its still an international order.

Has anybody else had these problems? Any advice would be great!! Thanks.

I ran into the same issue with the knot. I ended up just paying an extra $20 or so and ordering from a Canadian store.
It was the same circumstances though, I have what is called an international credit card, and an USA shipping address, but still no-go.

could your friend pay for it and you just give her the money maybe?

I was going to suggest what kristah said. It is sooo irritating but maybe your friend there can help. I stayed in Canada for everything... probably took me longer, but hey, what can you do?
