Wedding Hair Style - Vote Please - HONEYBEE's Purple Wedding by Color Blog

Check out my profile pic. I have worn my hair this way since high school (well over a decade)! The length changes throughout the years but I consistently wear this style. I have never worn extensions, and I have never worn my hair up. So, I am having a hard time picking a hairstyle.

One "never" is coming to an end, my stylist is putting my extensions in next week! I'm excited but nervous. I hope I can deal with it! Here is where I need your help. I have found several styles, and I need help picking the right one for my dress.

I added pics of the veil I ordered from Etsy. Here are some pics of my dress. Try to juxtapose each hairstyle on my body. lol Which one do you like best?

Here's a professional opinion - MERMAID : Compliment a mermaid gown with a clean coiffure, which will also showcase your neck and décolleté.

Here is my opinion - I am one to never go too far away from my original style. When I was choosing my hairstyle, I wanted one I could look back on in 20 years and it still hold a classic, timeless look. I think the loose chignon will look best and not be too drastic of a change in your original look.
My second choice is the Kerri look.. since it's not touching the neckline or shoulders, this would work too.
Remember, you don't want your hair to upstage your dress !

What accessories, if any, are you putting in your hair (i.e. flower fascinator, veil, birdcage, etc.)???

If you have something in mind, please let us know to better pick a hairstyle for you. But, since you want something different than you normally would wear, I would say either pic #1 "loose-chignon" or pic # 5 "zoe"

@sonlove2010- I am wearing a one-tier 34 inch veil. It falls midwaist. I'll upolad a pic of that as well.

I like kerri b/c you wouldn't need to add very much (if any) hair and you can be you. BTW I love your dress!

I love pic 1. Sexy and sophisticated and pretty but not over worked or forced. Fab.

I like Kerri Hilson's personally because my hairstyle is in a bob cut also but if you do want to add extensions I would choose the 1st pic or Zoe. Good Luck!!

lol @ s00n2bemrsb0lton- Thanks, but I am no size 2! I haven't seen that number since middle school. Slimming effect - it's all in the dress.

@regilele - I was not nervous until yesterday. We filled out our marriage license application. Then, it really sunk in! It's unbelievable that the wedding is soo close.

I'm probably a bit biased though because I picked a style very similar to that one..I love the romantic look of side swept curls...But I agree that Kerri would look very nice too...I do wanna piggy back on a point that fijipearl made though..your dress is Gorgeous..so go with the style that will not take away from the dress...
