DIY Wedding
heart-shaped sugar cubes (reposted)

Hi ladies,

I posted this on my old blog and had tons of awesome feedback, so I figured I would post it for all the lovely new ladies on here that might like to try. I am probably making some in pink for our candy table, or putting some on each table for coffee. I also thought it would be cute to give some as favours with coffee beans or something :)

Here are the instructions ladies, enjoy!

Equipment:
small bowls
greaseproof paper (parchment/wax paper)
small heart-shaped cookie cutter
teaspoon
granulated sugar
food colours

1. Prepare bowl with sugar. Then add a tiny drop of food colour to the sugar, and a little water to make it damp. Mix until evenly coloured.

2. On a piece of greaseproof paper, push a small amount of sugar firmly into the heart cutter (see 1) and level the top with a spoon (see 2). Carefully lift off the cutter and let dry (see 3&4)**

3. Repeat until all the sugar us used up.

** note: make sure that you do not try and move the cubes until they are dry, about 1/2 hour

p.s. don't you just love my damask cappuccino mugs! I also have coffee and espresso ones :)

This is the cutest idea!!!! If you don't mind I might steal it and use it as my favors. It would be cute in a little box or bag. Maybe with a cute little saying about sugar on it. Of course I would make them orange and pink..my wedding colors!!!
