Wedding Rings And Jewelry
Do we have to match?

So this is my first post to my wedding blog. We've been looking for wedding bands and our tastes differ. I want 2 rings a fancy special occasion ring and an every day ring. The fancy ring I want to be an eternity ring that matches my engagement ring, and the everyday ring I want to be a simple slim band. However my dear FH wants a Tungsten thick square band as his only band. These two do not match. What should I do? I don't like bulky jewelry and the Tungsten rings are so bulky.
BTW- we jus compromised on white gold. I like silver and he likes gold. I know total opposites!

I don't think the rings have to match at all...

Our rings will not match. I think each of you should pick what you will want to wear forever :)

My band is the exact same as the first picture. My FH's is white gold- shiny on the outisde, brushed steel look in the middle with three diamonds. They are totally different, but I think that's ok- they would be something that you like- youre going to be wearing them pretty much forever! lol

I think a long time ago, men and women bought matching wedding bands. Today, however, very few people get matching wedding bands. If you both have different aesthetics, then you should get rings you'll both enjoy wearing, even if they don't look anything alike. My Fi is also getting a tungsten ring while I'm getting more of an anniversary ring. They don't match at all, and it's perfectly fine.
