Hey guys!
I'm trying to come up with a unique guest book concept.
I want to have a photo guest book. That being said, I'd like someone to be manning a station where there's a Polaroid (or that style) camera to have each guest (or guest with their guest) get a photo. I'd also like them to be able to leave a message for us somehow. The ideas we've come up with are:
a) My idea: I like wish trees. Print the photos on the spot and clip them on a Manzanita tree that we'd have displayed.
b FH's idea: Just have a digital camera and worry about printing afterwards as a keepsake for us.
c) The possible compromise: Guest book on site - Print picture, pop it on the page, and have the guest write a message. This way they don't have to wait around for the photo to show up.
Questions: Do you think this will work? Are you familiar with these instant cameras? Do you think it'll take too long to do something like this? Any other thoughts on the concept? Has anyone out there tried this before?
Would love to hear your feedback! You guys have great insight! ;) Thank you in advance!
I have a large photo/scrapbook type guest book ready (it's actually an old vintage book which we gutted and bound with new thicker pages!), and I have assigned a fun loving couple of people to stand at the door of the reception, and get people to pose for a quick shot with a digital camera before they walk in to take their seat.
Then, they will be instructed that at some point during the night, they have to write in the book NEXT TO a photo outline that we have drawn in pencil. I will have two of these rectangles drawn up on each page.
Then after the wedding, we will print the photos of each guest and stick it in the rectangle next to their message... simple and awesome!
