For Our Guys and Gals
One other thing checked off our list is getting our guys and gals their gifts, I already bought my girls their shoes and to add to that these keep calm carry on totes, mirrors and lip glosses (I love this little positive slogan)
Dave for the fellas found these great skinny ties, cufflinks and is also getting their shoes, these awesome two toned cons. Very happy with our choices hope they enjoy them as much as we do |

Clash of the Mothers
Oh ladies it has been too long. I would love to be posting something more positive right now but need to vent.
My mother and I do our best to get along, we clash a lot though. The latest reason being over flowers, she hates the idea of us using silk/tissue/paper flowers "their great for a shower but not the wedding" she kept letting me know that and I broke down and asked what she would do instead, Dad intervened and essentially the result is Mom will get her real flowers for my wedding but on her dime. It is reasonable I guess since she will be paying for them but I was honestly fine with using artificial flowers... do people even remember the flowers? I remember moments and maybe might say yeah the decor was gorgeous but I've been to no bells and whistles affairs and been just as impressed. So now I have to decide on real flowers.... I really don't know much about them, what goes together, what would look good while going with everything else we picked out... Ah just got to remember my keep calm carry on. I now own a print of the poster and have it framed and in our hallway. In more pleasant wedding news Dave has been totally ballin on getting reception business taken care of, he's booked the entertainment, picked out a great package that fits our budget and been finding great deals on items for the candy buffet. We got lots of red goodies after Valentines Day. He has finally become super involved and I love it! |

Wedding Favors
Neon Shades
At our ceremony we are going to have a basket full of neon colored sunglasses so guests can shade their eyes from the sun and take them home if they choose. We thought about putting these in our OOT bags but realize probably not everyone would actually wear them so figure we'll give them the option. I love the idea of photo ops again here.
We are kind of straying from the carnival vibe here and there to include some more of our personal style the end result will hopefully be a mish mash of fabulousity that works out better than we could imagine :P |

Wedding Flowers

So made a decision finally for the bridal party, aqua rose pomanders, for myself I think I may still end up getting real flowers, some red variety with interesting textures, the bouts and corsages for our special guests will be real roses. Centerpieces are 2 oversized tissue roses in mason jars filled with gumballs.

OOT Bags
So we've started purchasing the goods that are not perishable for the big day.
In our OOT bags we are including: Nintendo Mints (tribute to our geekiness)  Burts Bees Lip Balm (because it rocks my socks)  Sunscreen Packets (since guests will be outdoors for ceremony and cocktail hour)  2-4 advil in handsewn vellum packets (depending on couple or single room occupancy) to help with any headaches or pains Bottled Water & Sleep Mask  Individual packets of Folgers and tea bags  Local Area Map Thank You Card/Welcome Note/Wedding Weekend TImeline Auntie's lovely mini morning glory muffins to snack on, 2 per guest Debating what else to includue, any suggestions? Everything will be in a reusuable tote bag that has love in a circus font written on it |

Wedding Decoration
Sweetheart Table/ Kissing Booth
Dave and I have decided to do a kissing booth, one thing I have heard from a lot of couples is that during their wedding they never had a lot of one on one time and I think this is a way to accomplish that, because after dinner we'll be mingling up a storm. We've come to realize a lot of the props we envisioned are going to be tough to transport to and from the venue so are thinking of more realistic alternatives. For this we are thinking a banner or a cute sign like the picture for our table.
To get us to kiss guests will have to get the dj's attention, answer a trivia question correctly about us or if they answer incorrectly and still want to kiss serenade us with song that has the word love in it, they can rely on their table mates to help out, I think its going to be fun and keep everyone entertained through out the meal |

We've made so many of these (100 / 102 if you count the trial run) even though we don't have a confirmed headcount and have yet to send out invitations we know we'll have extra and Dave will start the names and tables when we get our rsvps back. I love them, think they are so fun and hope guests will enjoy them. Might decorate the ceremony and cocktail bar with some of the extras
