Ask a Question
What can I do to add a little splash of color to these pretty plain invitations??

Ladies...I haven't quite decided on my invitations yet, but no matter which ones I choose...they are all pretty plain (but that's also because these are the ones that fit into my budget and are right at $95-$100 from annsbridalbargains.com, which includes 100 invitations, 100 response cards, and envelopes for each). So I already know that I'm not gonna be DIY for the invitations because I'm already doing enough DIY projects and also because I would never trust myself to do something so important...and besides I don't trust my printer either cause it can't print straight worth a damn!!

So anyways, here are some of the invitations (with response cards) that are in my price range but I'm having trouble deciding because none of them just completely say "WOW" you know?!! I think that I'm leaning towards the one called "Lovely Lilies" because we're using stargazer lilies throughout our wedding as being one of the main flowers, but there are also gonna be some roses too so that's why I'm also considering the invitations that have roses on them...either the one with just a single rose or the one with a cluster of roses. But the again, the one with the wedding bells at the top is kinda nice because it has a border that goes all the way around the whole invitation so I guess it's not quite as plain...but I'm still just not sure which one to go with that will end up making my wallet happy too lol!!

So which one do you ladies like the most?? Which one would you choose if you we're trying to keep the price around $100 but didn't have the time or energy to DIY?? Also, do you have any ideas of how I could maybe add a little splash of color to any of these invitations so that they don't end up looking so plain...but I don't want the colored envelope liners because I don't plan on paying extra for that and because the envelope just ends up getting ripped up when people open the invitations anyways!! Any ideas ladies??!!! Thanks in advance for your help ;-)

Using a hole puncher that makes the very small holes, maybe you can add baby ribbon to toward the top in your color (which should be the same color of the font)

Was just going to see ribbon or a sheet of colored seethrough paper (you know the one like greaseproof paper)

Or if I could spell properly I would have said "was just going to *say* instead of see" LOL

You could add a pretty colourful ribbon to them once you have had them printed. Don't feel you have to settle on an invite, just because it fits in your budget, if you aren't in love with it, then keep looking...there are tons of websites that offer reasonable pretty invites. Check out www.annsbridalbargains.com and www.invitationsbydawn.com ....both have gorgeous invites for reasonable prices.
