Wedding Cake Pictures
I look at our pictures often - and then I thought - I had not dedicated the "just" time to our cake.
This long-overdue post is about our wedding cake. Here are pictures. **BONUS - I still have the diamond accents shown on the cake - the scatter diamonds - 2 and 3 carat sizes all the way up to the larger chunky sizes and everything in between. I have my keepsakes in my china cabinet now - so the rest should go to a bride who can use them. I know there are plenty of brides to be that are going through the same thing that I was going through this time last year - keep your head up, stay grounded, it will all be BEAUTIFUL in the end : ) ** |

What a Party!
Hee are pictues of the reception site.
I will post pix of the party soon. I was sooo thrilled when I walked into the reception site - couldn't stop smiling : ) The decor came together in a spectacular way. I was so pleased to see all of my hard work and planning come together to create a "magical" space for our guests. There was an outdoor deck area where we took pictures prior to the reception starting. It turned into the highlight if the party later - an open bar and cocktail tables where guests mingled all evening. AND THE VIEW - we overlooked the Ohio River and the Cincinnati skyline. Our guests (and us) had a wonderful time. I HAD to show the cake! I designed it from 3 different pictures that I narrowed down from at least 60 pictures. I especially like the logo on the cake, the flowers mixed with the diamonds, and the height of the cake. The scroll work was awesome too. The taste was fantastic - each layer was a different flavor! THIS IS A DEFINITE HIGHLIGHT FOR ANY BRIDE! I do have the table runners and chair tie backs for sale. I also have lots and lots of candles for sale too - as well as the table numbers that I created. Ceremony Pictures
Here are pictures of the ceremony and the bridal party.
The dresses that the flower girls wore were spectacular. I hope you can see the detail in the back of the dresses. Instead of dropping petals, the two older girls dropped full stemmed carnations that were tied with a tiffany blue ribbon. The younger girl dropped petals. My son (11 years old) walked me down the aisle. He was soooo proud. From entering the church, I could not stop smiling for the rest of the day. Sometimes my smile was too big : ) Our bridal party looked fabulous in their tiffany blue attire. And our minister (who is our pastor) was great - the ceremony was so spiritual and meaningful. |

I have been so thrown off base that I think I am forgetting to do something.
What things need to happen leading up to the wedding? I have the bm's dresses, I have everything for the groomsmen and flowergirls, we have food, we have flowers for the girls and the men - I have to decide on a cake now that things have changed somewhat. What else?? Where do you buy bm jewelry for the ceremony? I have purchased each bm a t&co. earring and necklace set - but I don't think they should wear them to the ceremony. They are all different. Thanks for your help |

Time is getting close and I have had sooo much drama. The venue has had to change which has made my decor change and my invitations had to be reprinted! AND not to mention the emotional stress behind all this. I hired - then fired - coordinators. I cannot believe I have had to endure all this nonsense.
Nevertheless, we have decided to have our reception at the Aquarium here in our city. It is beautiful and the ballroom has a spectacular view of the river and the city skyline. We have taken engagement photos and I am sharing a few. Does anyone have any cool ideas about centerpeices now that I am not using the mini-cakes on the tables - I just don't think mini-cakes go along with the aquarium. The colors have not changed - but I need a new centerpeice idea. I have lots and lots of votive candles - but what else do I need? Flowers? Floating candles? Rocks and water? I don't particularly like fish (so why the aquarium, right? - long story) so I don't want anything in the fish theme. HELP! |
