Really nice idea
To honor your mom & mom in law at the ceremony
To honor your mom and mom-in-law at the wedding (btw I have a really nice mom-in-law 2be - that pic is not directed towards anyone haha just thought it was funny!)

Ask your floral designer to design two detachable floral sprays into your bouquet. After your father walks you down the aisle, just before he turns to leave you and take his seat, remove one of the special flowers from your bouquet. Hand it to him and give him a kiss. Let him know in advance that this will take place and tell him that as he takes his seat in the pew with your mother, he is to present the flower to her on your behalf.

Then at the conclusion of the ceremony, as you begin to make your way back up the aisle as husband and wife, stop at the pew where your mother-in-law is seated. Remove the second special flower from your bouquet and present it to her, along with a kiss, before continuing up the aisle.........

Don't tell the moms in advance that this will be taking place! It is the element of surprise which helps to make this so very sweet and special. There will not be a dry eye in the room...

I think that this is a great idea and I will be doing it at my wedding. I talked to my wedding planner though cause my parnets are not married and so my dad couln't give her the rose or it would be odd. SO.... What we are going to do is before we light our unity candle he is going to go give my mom hers and I will go give his mom mine. I think it will be a great thing and I'm so excited to do that.

I liked this idea as well and have also decided to incorporate it into my ceremony.  Kudos to  luvnhim!

i plan to do this as well. not sure on HOW im going to do it yet b/c i have a mother, stepmother & mother in law so i'm not sure if i should do them all 3 at the beginning or end, or do my mother/stepmother when i come in & his mother when we leave or what....
