Attention brides to be I need your opinions & help...
Am I making more work for myself?
So I have finally given up chasing RSVP people I think its so rude but anyway Im over it. I think having especially read everyones posts on here and gotten much appreciated feedback I am kind of thinking you know what I am only stressing myself out sweating the small stuff, yes its my wedding and yes I want everything and for it to be perfect but am I wanting to do too much? Is the whole point of a "destination wedding" meant to be laid back and vacation/party celebration - do you think I should opt for flower centerpieces even though I really wanted the feather ones(that I would have to buy and ship to the hotel in Mexico from the US as I live in Ireland and see no point them getting mailed to me only for me to have to bring them all the way back to Mexico)......(we are having our reception on the beach).

Originally I wanted (and still do) a purple & silver/white theme......with feathers and butterflies accented here and there as these were also incorporated into my invites (gone out already) and my bridesmaids are wearing purple. I wanted to do the white feathers with a feather cake top and a feather plume pen to sign the guest book......I guess I could do simple tulip arrangements on the tables?! I would have to kind of re arrange everything in my head (again) I just dont know what to do to decorate the tables and flower wise....any ideas?

I am really not getting any help at all with regards the wedding every decision and detail is down to me at the moment not that I am a control freak or anything but its just I dont know whether people dont think theres much involved or that theres nothing that they can do?! My H2B is working all the hours god is sending him at the moment to pay and cover expenses so by the time he gets in from work the last thing he wants to hear is wedding this and that................what do you think ladies do you think that I should have a more or less laid back and more simple wedding or opt for all the little details that I want...........btw thankyou for reading this and if you are reading this could you please help me out on my favor dilemma (post below) Thanks ladies without this lifesaver of a website I would be totally lost..........

I think you should skip the feather centerpieces and go with something simple that you love, that they can make for you. The last thing you need is the added hassle and expensive of shipping feather centerpieces to Mexico from Ireland. Why don't you incorporate feathers into the rest of your theme...like you said feather plume pen for guestbook, feathers on the guestbook, just little feather accents that you can pack in your carry on when you fly to Mexico. You absolutely need to step back and put everything in perspective...and stop stressing over the little things. Destination weddings are an all inclusive package. They will take care of everything.

I LOVE the feathers, they are beautiful but like amcs76 said its way to much hassle. Don't stress yourself out over feathers. The tulips are lovely as well. If you really have your heart set n feathers you can always add some in with the flowers. That way you can have the best of both worlds.
