***UPDATE - Resort wont let me do this so sad..............

I have been researching this and really would love to do it, for any of you who know me and are familiar with my blog you know with me getting married and having reception on the beach this would be ideal. I have wanted to do this for months but in the run up to the wedding and the whole fiasco of having to go to the US to get my wedding stuff etc.. and lots of other little stresses I just never got around to researching it. I have now however my only concern now is whether or not the resort would approve of us setting these off even though they are made of rice paper and are biodegradable, and I will only be letting 50 go, they only go up so far and light for 10 mins and with us being right on the coast they would in all likelihood end up going to sea. Still not sure if the resort would let me do this though and it will take up to 6 weeks for a reply from them there. So I wonder then would I get them in time? Whats a girl to do I think it would really make the day though and be such a beautiful thing to do. Everyone write a message on their lantern and let it go altogether. I originally wanted to do this years ago when I saw the movie "The Beach" with Leonardo DiCaprio when they all did it........do I take a chance and get them? In all honesty I dont have that kind of money to be throwing away in the run up to Christmas as it is, its stressing me out I have sooo much left to do and we are leaving 4 wks after Christmas so I am stressed out again at the moment. Let me know your thoughts!

the shipping is fast there.. only 3-5 days so even if it did take the full 6 weeks to get an answer from the resort you'd have them in time.. and if no one else bid on them.. it'd be under $100 hopefully.. I don't know, I've never seem them before until someone else posted on them, now I think they are the greatest thing ever and everyone should have them.. and on the beach! That'd be perfect! I'm doing them instead of favors, even if I can't do it at my venue, everyone is getting one.

if you are really up to it then I say do it. i researched them after your post(i really like) and all the sites show fast 1-3 day shiping. So even if you dont order until January, you will have them it plenty of time. Especially since you have to wait for a response from the venue.

Its a NO GO girls resort wont do it for security reasons and because of weather also :( so pissed now!

Booooo Hissss! The Lange Farm said no and gave me some LONG list of fire hazard bull shit. I told them that technically the SAME fire hazards could apply to the sparklers they said I could do......whatever though. :( Less stress right? LOL!
