Well.. I have a huge obsession with Peonies..however they are out of season & from what the florists say very expensive - perhaps thats just to make me feel better?! LOL...My FI & I recently had appointments with several local florists and after our 1st one, I was so disappointed & heartbroken. My FI & I are working with a limited budget & I thought I was prepared with pictures of bouquets & centerpieces I liked as well as a list of flowers I liked. This woman kept pushing roses - which I clearly stated I am not a fan of traditional roses!!!! - and orchids?!?! Umm hello?! It's not that I dislike orchids, but they did not fit into the theme of my wedding anywhere! She was not able to come up with ANY of the flowers on my list..and this being a reputable florist in the area I was upset to think if they couldn't do it, who would be able to..she emailed us back the quote which was outrageous! Especially for flowers I did not like or want...fortunately the rest of the day went better & I did end up with an amazing florist! She is able to get my flowers, however instead of peonies I will have garden roses as they are big & fluttery as peonies & do my bouquets & centrepieces the exact way I want & all within our budget! It can be time consuming, but its definitely worth making several appointments.
