I bought Patricks's wedding band today. I know that he wanted something non traditional, and I really wanted to support that. I love this ring. I think its very masculine but also beautiful.

I feel like I am running out of time to get everything done. Luckilly my mother and sister have really stepped up to the plate and have started to help me get things accomplished. THANK GOD!!! lol Still though, I can't help but feel overwhelmed. My list seems to go on and on.....

1. Find out number of chairs for reception hall, see if we need to rent more.

2. Finalize the ceremony with our Pastor

3. Finalize the ceremony music, and go over with the Pastor

4. Obtain a marriage license

5. Get my dress alterations

6. Pick up our rings

7. Find a hairstylist

8. Find a cake baker

9.Organize a kids table

OK.....so I know that a few of these should have been done months and months ago......I've been a slacker....but now is the time that I really need to pick up the pace......Wish me luck girls!!!

I was just wondering.....at what time is it appropriate to give the Officiant a donation. It is not required by our church, but we are giving our officiant X amount of money anyways. When should this be done? Before the ceremony? At the rehearsal? After the Ceremony?


Also who should give him the envelope? My dad, my fiance? The best man??

I need some desperate help. I want to make a monogram on my aisle runner. Thing is, I am not very computer savvy.......it took me months just to figure out how to put a background on my page. lol. How do you do this?? I do not have the first clue on what program to use or anything. And then how do I print it out large enough? I am baffled by this. Anyone who could help would be a saint to me!! Thanks girls.

Yeah!!!! The bridesmaids dresses came in!!! Yeah!!! They are more beautiful then I really ever thought they would be. I love them!!!!


The fourth pic looks like there is a stain on the sash, there isn't. I guess it was the lighting....lol

I am going to test out some tanning lotions. NOT the kind that make you orange, I mean the kind that are supposed to give you a natural glow if you apply daily like your regular lotion.

I have done a little research, and have seen several testimonials that say that they work great when used daily. The pictures actually showed where a man ( I know, some of them tan......whatever lol) who applied it to only one leg and not the other for a whole week. By the end of the week the one leg looked fabulous. lol. So I am willing to be a guinea pig, we'll see!!

The first product I am using is Nivea body, Sun-Kissed Firming Moisturizer lotion. And the second is Jergens natural glow face daily moisturizer. I hope these work. But keep checking my blog, cause I will let you know at the end of the week. I think I will also post before and after pictures, in case anyone is interested in how this works.

OKay.....So lets just say....our best man is getting on my last nerve. As you probably all are, I am very very VERY stressed out. I mean there are 57 days until the wedding. I have yet to have my dress altered, pick out the ceremony music, as well as many other things. Well.....the tuxes are picked out, thats one thing off my list. They are all paid......except for one. The Best Man. I don't know if he is having a mental blockage or something, but I swear he makes me want to pull my hair out.

He seems to think that it is appropriate to wear some tuxe he has had packed away in the back of his closet for God knows how long. NOT HAPPENING!!! If he did not want to pay the price of renting the tuxe we picked out, he should have told us in the first place.

I feel like I am being mean here, but I know that in actualality, he is being selfish. My fiance was in his wedding and had to buy the tux which cost 150.00. The tux we picked out only costs 84.00 to rent. Not to mention that you can pay half down and pay the rest at pick up.

Tell me girls.....am I being mean??

I mean I had to pay for my neice to be a bridesmaid....dress, shoes and I will have to pay for her hair too, because my sister in law is too cheap to fork out the money. I also had to buy our flowergirl's dress for the same reason. And really if they did not want their children in the wedding they should have told me in the first place rather than wait until its too late to find replacements.

Seriously irritated.

Wow!!!! 67 Days left until the big day!! I am so excited and happy I could bust. lol. I am super stresses like all the time now. I am constantly thinking of things that I have yet to finish, things I have yet to buy, and stuff like that. I know that in the end it will all come together. I am trying to tell myself ahead of time that this is the best day of my life ( besides the birth of our son). I am also trying to tell myself that its ok if something goes wrong. I mean of course I want it to be perfect, but I also know that not everything always goes as planned, and that something might go wrong, but in the end the day will still be perfect.

Ok....so this is something I have been thinking about for awhile now. I really want to have my teeth whitened. I mean, I don't really have yellow teeth, but they are slightly stained from my diet Coke addiction. lol.

Is anyone else thinking about doing this?? Or, has anyone already done this??

I was thinking about just getting Colgate white strips and seeing how they work.

I am trying to think of which readings we will have in our ceremony. If anyone has some ideas, I would really love some help!!!!

I spruced up my very plain.....very cheap ring pillow. I am super proud of myself for this one. If I told you how much I paid to complete this project, you would seriously fall over!! lol.

Hey girls. All of my jars were purchased at Big Lots!!! Most people don't think to check there but I bought all 5 for around $40.00!! This is a great price, as they are usually between 20 and 30 dollars a piece. Also a good tip Big Lots is having a sale this sunday the 20th. 20% off your entire purchase!!!! No minimum purchases either.

It took me about an hour and fifteen minutes to finish all five. It does take some patience to line the ribbon up perfectly, and to glue it down so its even all around.

I made these invitations and response cards at Vistaprint.com. They did not have hardly anything purple to pick from. But I cant complain because they are a great price. Its going to only cost $60 for 50 of each!!! Do you girls like these?? Do you think they are formal enough? I mean we are not having a super fancy wedding, but it is a church wedding.

So I finished my candy buffet jars!! I think they turned out really good.

I finally made one of these. I think it turned out ok for my first try. =)

How do you know how much to tip your vendors? And which vendors do you tip?? This is confusing stuff. Also when do you give them out??? Are you using gratuity cards, or just envelopes?

We are giving our pastor a donation also, should we give it to him at the rehearsal or after the ceremony?

I was just wondering what everyone's ceremony music was going to be. I am trying to get some ideas for this. We have an organist at our church, but honestly I am not a big fan of the organ, so I need some other ideas.

I am just curious, but how many bridesmaids are you having in your wedding? Is everyone having an even number of bridesmaids and groomsmen??

So I thouhgt i would share this, even though it has nothing to do with my own wedding.

I went to Hobby Lobby Lobby and was looking for some things for my own wedding when I found SO MUCH STUFF!!!! They have just about everything you can think of in a damask print. Hat boxes, little decorative suitcases, stationary, picture frames, candles, EVERYTHING!!!

Anyways, it made me think of all the brides on here who are doing a damask theme. They also had lots of cool things in pink and brown as well as teal and brown. Just a little hint for all of you who are looking for those kinds of things. =)

Ok so for some reason my post for this entry dissapeared. ( oh this blastes website...grr)

Anyways, this is the vase I piced up today for my centerpieces. It is a great eggplant purple color, although the picture doesn't really do it justice. I have thought of a few ways of doing this.

1. put three in a row, evenly spaced on the table, full of cream colored roses, with a cream colored ribbon tied in a cute bow around each vase.

2. Same idea as far as ribbon and roses, but instead grouped together as if they are a cluster of vases.

What do you all think??

I am super stressed out!!! I know the wedding is 4 months away, but really that is not all that long. I feel like its coming up so quickly, and I want it to be here so bad, but on the the other hand I still have sooo much to get accomplished.

I think it is also harder because I work full time, and I have a 15 month old son, who takes up alot of my time. Naturally, he is the love of my life, besides Patrick, so most of my spare time is spent with him. I have been trying to stay up late so I can do wedding stuff. I am a night person anyways, but most of the time I just find myself browsing the internet for more ideas.... and of courser blogging on here. lol.

Is anyone else feeling the stress yet? I have always been the type to worry and stress anyways, so I guess its just like me to be this way. I figured out today that I only have 28 scheduled days off from work from now until the wedding!! That is not really all that much time to get all of the little things done.

So my list as of now...
1. Find a photographer
2. order invitations ( should have been done like yesterday, lol)
3. all of my DIY projects...toasting flutes, ring pillow, bubbles. favors, candy buffet
4. order bridesmaids and groomsmens gifts
5. find a baker.....yeah haven't even thought about this yet
6. alterations

I know this list could go on and on, but at least this is a general idea of where I am at....or not lol.

What can I do to spruce my bubbles up a bit? I want something different though. I have seen the ones where you wrap them in tulle, which is cute, but I was thinking something a little different maybe?? Any ideas out there??

I know this is silly, but how do you change your backgrounds on here?? I want to make my page pretty lol. Everyone has all these awesome backgrounds and pretty fonts?? Please help!!! lol

ok, so I am not very tan these days. I have not been tanning since I had my son last year!! I am wondering, has anyone ever done a spray tan before? I mean the kind where you go and they professionally spray you?? I am wondering does this really work? Do you look naturally tan or orange?? Anyone with any tips or anything, would be really appreciated!!! Thanks!

We are having a buffet style dinner for my wedding reception. So, I was thinking that it would be neat to have an edible centerpiece. I have seen these fruit centerpieces other places, but I think they might be perfect for the buffet tables. What do you all think??

Does anyone else have any problems with this site? It has so many little quirk. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but it does not always wrok correctly. For some reason it is linking me to Flushing NY when I leave a comment on someone's blog. I live in NC just to let everyone know, lol. Strange!!



By the way, this is my handsome son, Kyler!! He is 15 months old, and is going to be the cutest ring bearer ever!! lol

I have not really put a whole lot of thought into what I would do to fulfill this tradition. I guess my something new could be my dress. As for something borrowed I am not really sure. For my something old and or blue, my mom is giving me her bluebird pin that she received as a little girl for being a member of the bluebirds. I guess this was similar to girlscouts. I am going to pin it inside my dress. I was so happy when she told me this, I cried. My mom and I have not always got along the best and we have only recently, since I had my son, grown closer to each other.

I will work on trying to find something else to meet the rest of this tradition. Does it matter if one thing counts for more than one part of the tradition??

This is the dress that I chose for my bridesmaids to wear on our big day!! It looks great on everyone and is a reasonable price. 140.00. Its from forever yours. They have SO MANY styles to chose from. Seriously, if you are having a hard time narrowing down your choices, check them out. They have just about every style of dress, in every budget. The color is actually a deep purple color.The 2nd and 3rd pics are for color only.

I love these invitations!!! Obviously I would not be using this color, but I was thinking that I could do a dark purple backing, with an Ivory cardstock for the actual printing. Then layer the Dark purple and Ivory ribbons. What do you all think?? I think that I could make these myself. The only problem is I am not all that talented with my home printer, I am thinking I could have them printed and cut at Office Max or Staples and then just put them together myself. Other question.....what should I use to stick the layers together? Something that will not bubble or created a bend or anything. Also, what would I use to adhere the ribbon?? Any advice would be sooo appreciated. Thanks girls!!!
