Bluebird pin
Bluebird pin

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue!!!
My mother's pin
I have not really put a whole lot of thought into what I would do to fulfill this tradition. I guess my something new could be my dress. As for something borrowed I am not really sure. For my something old and or blue, my mom is giving me her bluebird pin that she received as a little girl for being a member of the bluebirds. I guess this was similar to girlscouts. I am going to pin it inside my dress. I was so happy when she told me this, I cried. My mom and I have not always got along the best and we have only recently, since I had my son, grown closer to each other.

I will work on trying to find something else to meet the rest of this tradition. Does it matter if one thing counts for more than one part of the tradition??

i dunno i am having a tiny bit of a problem with this as well.....
my bridesmaid lyndsay who is one of my best friends offered about 6 months ago to let me wear her pink pearl necklace as my something borrowed since my main wedding color is pink. But just recently my fiances mom said she got my fiance's great grandmothers locket necklace that is 100 years old and has a b enscribed on the front of it (my name also starts with a b) and thought i could use it as my something old. i don't know what to do those are both necklaces! anyway i can turn one of them into something else? if i have to chose i should go with his great grandmothers locket right?

by the way the ittle blue bird pin is adorable

I would go with the locket. What if you wore pink pearls in your hair somehow, or in your bouguet? That might work for you. what are you doing for your something blue?
