Does anyone else have any problems with this site? It has so many little quirk. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but it does not always wrok correctly. For some reason it is linking me to Flushing NY when I leave a comment on someone's blog. I live in NC just to let everyone know, lol. Strange!!



By the way, this is my handsome son, Kyler!! He is 15 months old, and is going to be the cutest ring bearer ever!! lol

I have not really put a whole lot of thought into what I would do to fulfill this tradition. I guess my something new could be my dress. As for something borrowed I am not really sure. For my something old and or blue, my mom is giving me her bluebird pin that she received as a little girl for being a member of the bluebirds. I guess this was similar to girlscouts. I am going to pin it inside my dress. I was so happy when she told me this, I cried. My mom and I have not always got along the best and we have only recently, since I had my son, grown closer to each other.

I will work on trying to find something else to meet the rest of this tradition. Does it matter if one thing counts for more than one part of the tradition??

This is the dress that I chose for my bridesmaids to wear on our big day!! It looks great on everyone and is a reasonable price. 140.00. Its from forever yours. They have SO MANY styles to chose from. Seriously, if you are having a hard time narrowing down your choices, check them out. They have just about every style of dress, in every budget. The color is actually a deep purple color.The 2nd and 3rd pics are for color only.

I love these invitations!!! Obviously I would not be using this color, but I was thinking that I could do a dark purple backing, with an Ivory cardstock for the actual printing. Then layer the Dark purple and Ivory ribbons. What do you all think?? I think that I could make these myself. The only problem is I am not all that talented with my home printer, I am thinking I could have them printed and cut at Office Max or Staples and then just put them together myself. Other question.....what should I use to stick the layers together? Something that will not bubble or created a bend or anything. Also, what would I use to adhere the ribbon?? Any advice would be sooo appreciated. Thanks girls!!!

My wonderful sister, who is so talented and amazing, made me this wedding website!! Its so beautiful and done in my wedding colors. I could never dream, ever, of doing something like this. i am not a technology buff, but really appreciate this. I am going to put the link on my invitations. The website includes, a gallery, info on the location, date, and even hotel informtaion. I love my sister!!!

My MOH is my best friend, Sarah, who I have been friends with since 1st grade. She lives in NYC, and is flying in during the week before the wedding to help me with all the last minute details. My other bridesmaids are my cousin Theresa, Patrick's sister Donna, and our niece Stephanie will be our Jr. bridesmaid.

Here is a picture of our beautiful church. The windows in the sanctuary are purple and red stained glass.

Today my sister and I are going to taste some cakes. I know this sounds funny, but my FI is not really a sweets person, but he is going to help me make the final decisions. I am really looking forward to this. yeah!!!!! I will keep everyone posted on how this goes.



There are soooo many choices out there. Please tell me what ones you like the best. I am not a good decision maker. lol.

I made my save the date cards on Walmart.com!!! It was so cheap. I went to the photolab and created a one of a kind save the date with a formal picture of Patrick and I that had been taken at a friend's wedding. It cost me about 13.00 for 50 with envelopes!!!! That is a true bargain!! They have so many styles to choose from, and they even say save the date on them!

Does anyone know how to make these? I want to use them on my church pews, but the only ones I found in my color are 24 a piece, and I need 20 of them....which is out of my budget. If anyone knows how to do this, I would really appreciate any advice or tips. Thanks!!

I have seen these at weddings online, and they look like so much fun!! I love candy, as does my fiance. Also there are going to be lots of children at our wedding, and when I say lots..... I mean ALOT!! LOL. My fiance has 9 neices and nephews, who are very special to us, and we really wanted to find ways to include them and make it a fun celebration for them too. I went to Michaels and found apothecary jars for this project. They are expensive there!!! I decided to look around and see what I could find other places. I found the same jars in different shapes and sizes, at Big Lots and also Wal-mart! I was amazed that I saved so much money. I bought all my jars and now I plan on decorating them with ribbon, and then filling them with purple and cream colored candy!! YUMM-O!! Is anyone else doing a candy buffet??

ok.....so my flower girl dress......Lets just say that it was some work to find the right color sash that I wanted. I looked in stores, magazines etc, and they were very cute, but a little high, as I am paying for this dress myslef. I decided to look on ebay, and I found the perfect dress, with the cute little pick ups and everything, but it was not the right color. I asked the buyer if she could get me the dress, and she went way above and beyond to get the one I wanted in the right color and size. She truly was awesome!!!! It has a beautiful eggplant colored sash. It is a really stunning dress!!

This is my fabulous dress!!!! I totally love this dress, and knew it was the one from the beginning. I went to the bridal shop with my mom and sister and tried on this dress first. As soon as I put it on I knew it was the one that I would wear down the aisle. I tired on a few others afterward, just to be positive, but I kept coming back to this one. It just fit perfectly and made me happy. So it came home with me!!!

So here I am starting a wedding blog. I have wanted to do this, and have found some sites that seem kind of snooty...but this one seems like it is more down to earth. Patrick and I met in 2005, and are tying the knot on October 18th 2008. I have only have 4 months to go, but I thought this would be a neat way to track what we have done, and share ideas with other brides. So here it goes!!
