I found a $8 white vase from www.save-on-crafts.com, and I was thinking about having the florist add 7 green spidermums since they will be in my bouquet. That would be a simple, yet striking statement!

I like the idea of monochramatic green bouquet for me, to be opposite of my green bridesmaid dresses and their white bouquets.

Modern swoop/ beehive
I always wear my bangs to the side...so it would feel really weird to put them up. I also like having some height in an updo...without it looking to done up and rigid. I also like the elegant "knot" in the back....this will be hard to figure out.

Wedding Cake
2 so far!
Tim picked out the flavors. he loves cake. 2 layers will be Ghirardelli chocolate with chocolate ganche in the middle. The other two layers will be vanilla with raspberry filling.
The third picture was our engagement cake, it was a replica of my engagement ring!! Our cake lady, Kim, is a friend of Tim's mom. She is so so talented! |

DIY Wedding
DIY is harder than it looks
After I bought the white orchids from target, I started trying to visualize what the big centerpieces would look like. Think of them as being really, really tall. I showed my florist, and she said she will do a much better job than me. haha!
She will use wires to put the orchids up in a 4 ft vase, then add some green and twiggy things. More to come on that in January when we start making some mock-ups! I was trying to find a way to incorporate the bridesmaid's ranunculus flowers into the third centerpiece. I bought a few silk flowers for a visual, but they will be real! I was thinking a rectangle vase with the flowers in a row. and then 2 spider mums on either side of it. what do you think? |

Ceremony
St. John's Chapel- Plymouth
This chapel reminds me of the vatican! As soon as my fiance and I stepped in, we felt like the presence of God. It is breathtaking!
On a funny note, I talked to a coworker about this chapel, and he said it felt like a football game since the pews are faced at each other instead of up at the front! It will be an interesting walk down the aisle! I can't wait! |
