Mother Nature
just my luck....

O.K. so this is a personal blog but I just need to talk about it cause I'm ready to cry!!

So, I"m not on the pill, haven't been for 6 years..just makes me moody..anyways I'm pretty regular when it comes to Mother Nature time and for the last year I've started always around 1st week of the month...so when it came to planning the wedding I picked April 17-25 knowing that I'd be done and over with that...

Sooo....last month 4months before the wedding..I must have been very stressed because I was 2 weeks late starting them. Now again this month..it's Jan 11th and NOTHING..sooo I'm thinking that if this keeps up I"m going to be full swing on for my wedding..NOOOOOOOOOOOOO....I'm soo sad and discouraged, first of all who wants to have their period on their wedding day and second who wants their period while vacationing in CUBA????????

GGGGRRRRRRRR..I'm soo mad...if ANYBODY knows a method to fix this major issue please tell me..I'll try anything.. ha ha

I don't know one.  I'm sorry.  Ask your doctor if there is anything you can do.  Good Luck!

I don't know if this would have the same effects as the pill on your mood, but a few years ago I was on Depo Provera (the shot) and I didn't get my period at all.  It was great.  You only have to get a needle once every three months and it's effective within the first 24 hours of receiving it.

I would talk to your doctor to see what he/she recommends.  Different forms of birth control affect your period in different ways.  Hope this helped!  Good luck!

The only think I know that works is hormonal birth control. You could always just do a month or two of the pill to get your cycle back when you want it, and then stop. However, if stress really affects your period so much, you will probably be quite stressed the week or two just before your wedding. Ask your doctor about low dose pills or if there's anything else she would recommend.

When I was younger, like around 10-11,my mom took me to the doctor (just my normal doctor) and explained to him that we were going on vaca and was there anything I could take to postpone Aunt Flow from coming. And he gave me a pill to take everyday and then when I stopped it taking it would start like normal with no side effects. It might have been like birth control but it only had to take it for the amount of time I was trying to postone it. Have you tried talking to you doctor and seeing if there is anything you can do?

I agree with purplenat1, take some birth control just for your wedding. You only have to take it for a month or two and then you can come off of it again. I would not however recommend Depo Provera for this particular problem. I was on Depo for 3 years and the first year I spotted the whole time, not what you want to worry about while dealing with your wedding. Depo will also deplete the calcium in your bones which in some cases can cause early osteoporosis. There are so many options out there, just talk to your doctor and decide on something you think you might want to try. Good luck!

Nuva Ring! I hated the pill and depo scares me :)

So I have nuva ring and I can control when i get my period based on when i put it in. I get no weight gain or moodiness from this.

Worth a shot !

Thank you so much for all the comments....soo helpful, I'm going to see my Dr tomorrow so I'll see what she recommends but I'm not gonna go on Depo Provera because it does scare me with all the side effects listed so hopefully everything will work itself out. I hope anyways but like my FH said.." I ain't affraid to get blood on my sword baby" LOL..so yeah I might just let nature take it's course.
