Invitation Wording- Ceremony Time HELP!!
We've decided that our ceremony will begin at 5:30pm. BUT, I have no idea what to put on the invitations!!! Our wedding is in the middle of August, so it stays light later, and both the ceremony and the reception are outside, right on the water. So it's fairly casual (but still kinda formal since its still a wedding)...

Sooooo do we put :
five-thirty in the afternoon
or
five-thirty in the evening?

i'm leaning towards "in the afternoon" so it indicates something a little more casual than your average saturday night country club wedding, but i've always felt anything after 5pm is considered evening...

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

Honeymoon
It's booked!!
We booked our honeymoon! We decided to go to Secrets Maroma Beach in Riviera Maya, Mexico! We got an awesome deal, and worked with a fabulous travel agent. When I called David to tell him that I booked everything, he got super excited too!

I can't wait to be lying on the beach, MARRIED, with a margarita in both of my hands. :) I think that image may help me make it through the next six months.

Help me choose my invitations!
Alright ladies- I need help choosing my invites. These are the 4 we've narrowed them down to. Our wedding colors are different shades of blues and yellows. On the ones with the ribbon, we would use light blue ribbon and cobalt blue writing (just to give you an idea). Our wedding is semi-formal, not too casual but not too formal either.

So, please help me! Which one would you choose?

The Dress
So what does everyone's dress look like? Did you show FI the dress?

I absolutely 100% LOVE my dress. It's Maggie Sottero's "Adele", and I knew as soon as I saw it online it was going to be The One. I ordered it at the end of October, and it's supposed to arrive sometime between February and April... and I can't wait! I went ahead and ordered the custom length so I don't have to worry about hemming it later on, but I will definitely need to put a bustle in, as well as cups sewn in.

I am also a terrible bride and I showed the dress to David. He saw this pictuture of me, but he won't actually see it on me, in person, until our wedding day. Everyone thought I was crazy to showing it to him, but seriously, I hate surprises, and I knew I wouldnt want him to surprise me with what he's wearing on the day of!

So ladies... am I crazy? Or did you guys show your FI's too?

Wedding Invitation
Save the Dates are almost done!
Oh I’m so excited… our save the dates are almost ready to be sent out! I got the envelopes yesterday, and I addressed pretty much all of them, and the cards should be coming in by the end of the week! I’m hoping to be able to send them out at the beginning of the week… once I decide to bite the bullet and buy postage. ? It is going to feel so much real once we send them out… guess there’s no turning back now!

I also got my sample invitations from Cards & Pockets yesterday. I love the colors that I chose! I am going to use Sapphire Blue for the base layer, and Cornflower Blue for the envelopes. They're super cool because they're the metallic paper (or glittery, whatever, I'm not up to date on paper lingo. Anyways, its looks cool). I don’t really want to do another layer (I had ordered yellow just to see), so I’m just trying to figure out now how easy it would be to do some kind of ribbon or something along the top of the invite.

So it's official... I'm excited for this wedding. Don't get me wrong, I was always happy about getting married, but I just was not feeling the whole wedding planning thing. Until I met my photographer, and she got me really excited. So I have spent the last week and a half pretending to work, and have c&p'ed so many pictures onto my computer that its a good thing my hardrive was replaced last month.

Anyways, so I have been obsessed with pomander balls for quite some time. I have to have them. I want to hang them on shepherds hooks along the aisle during the ceremony. I know they're super easy to make, and I'm sure with the help of some very crafty friends (and their moms), we could whip them out in no time. But I dont want to do a lot of DIY projects. I do not have the time available to commit myself to a lot of projects. So I was surfing around on Etsy (best website ever, if you've never heard of it), and I found someone that makes them! And for a killer price too... probably less than I would be able to make them for! So now I'm super excited because the girl will do them in whatever colors I want, and now I know that I will for sure have them!! YAY!
