How long did you date before you got engaged?
9 months Did you get the ring you wanted? OH YES! I LOVE IT!!! Was the proposal a complete surprise? Complete surprise! I didn't see it coming at all! Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small? I love my ring exactly how it is Did you cry when he proposed? Yes, like a baby...I was also shaking like a leaf! :) When do you want to go for your honeymoon? Ideal honeymoon would be Italy, but I really don't care where we go...as long as we have lots of alone time :) Are you buying his wedding band for him? Yep....today actually :) Have you gone over your original wedding budget? Haven't even started yet....but I am a DIY type of girl, so we won't be spending much. What day of the year will your wedding be? Well, I know a Saturday, just not sure what day yet. What kind of weather? Hopefully good Inside or outside? Outside Church/justice of the peace/other? IDK yet? How many people will be there? IDK yet? Time of day? 4 PM Any kind of theme? 50's BABY How many bridesmaids? Who would they be? ? not sure yet What kind of cake/what will it look like? White buttercream frosting and red velvet cake Where will you have the reception? ? What kind of dress will you have/color/material? White and black What kind of flowers in your bouquet? deep red roses Kind of engagement ring? 18k white gold vintage edwardian style Kind of wedding bands? workin on it! How will you wear your hair? not sure but I have made my birdcage veil Who will be important to be there? everyone! Will the reception be big or small? big What will the groom wear? tux How old will you and the groom be? FH 32 Me 34 How long will you be engaged before you get married? a lil over 6 months Live together before or wait till married? hopefully live together Take a long time to plan the wedding or will it be simple? simple Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding? ourselves Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made? premade... im not a huge fan of attention being all on me and so the less to make me nervous the better to be honest... :) |

Bridesmaids
???
I am doing a 1950's Style wedding....There are too many cute dresses to look at. Any suggestions? I will make the dresses out of black satin and have red tulle peaking out from the bottom. And possibly some black polka dot ribbon somewhere???

Wedding Dress
WHICH ONE???
Ok girls....help me out!!! :) I want a 1950's style wedding....I love the tea length dresses and then I found one that is long that I love as well.....I am really confused on which one will look the best. HELP!!! :)

The Proposal
24 hours ago.....he popped the question!!!
It was a dream come true! Jamie took me out to dinner at our fav restaurant, Tommy's, in Visalia. If you haven't been there, GO! It's the best!!! Then he surprised me by renting a charming, actually gorgeous, cabin up in Three Rivers. I was running around like a kid in a candy store. It was beautiful!!! After running around saying OMG...LOOK AT THIS BABE, for about ten minutes, I went into the other room. While in the other room, I looked down and right there beside me was a white feather....white feathers have a HUGE significance to me....but I won't get into that right now. I was so excited about finding the white feather, that I flung the bedroom door open to show my FH, only to find him on one knee in the middle of a bunch of red rose petals, holding an open ring box, with the most beautiful ring I've ever seen, inside. My heart flipped and felt like it was going to jump out of my chest....he told me, "Janie, I love you with all heart, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, WILL YOU MARRY ME?" I jumped into his arms, still completely shocked, and said, "YES!!!!" Then he asked me if I wanted to see the ring, and me being me, said I don't care.....only because at that moment the only thing I wanted to do was have him hold me while I was balling my head off. :) It was the sweetest, most romantic thing anyone has ever done. I love him so. :)
