We made it to $3k we did a whole lot of DIY's and did everything to cut cost.

Whats your budget list?

Great ideas to cut cost:
Purchase your own linens
Make your own arrangements, bouquets and bout's
Look on Craigslist and Ebay-- they always worked for me!!!
Always negotiate... remember if they say $300 it really cost $150
I am in sales and they always put up the price by 50%

Ours is $10K absolute max....I'm also doing alot of DIY, but the big part of our expense will be venue because I wont compromise on this....I want it at a country club or golf resort....and food and alcohol...I insist on a open bar.

20,000 for 200 guests which we are paying by ourselves. More power to you for a 3 K budget!!!!! and making it work!!!! my decor alone was $2500 lol.. YIKES

My budget is 15000$ for 150 people. Wow 3 k? good for you. I am with deneanrae my decor cost about 2000$

I even negotiated with the venue... from 1200 got it down to 800

12,000 here- We had hoped for 10,000 but it just didn't cut it! Our reception hall was double what we were hoping to pay. Our guest list is at 92 but I am guessing we will have 75-80ppl. We are trying to keep it low by using DIY invites, super small bridal party MOH & BM, our cake is a gift, no formal transportation, and DIY decor on the Wed. before our Wedding! Oh I did have to leave off a video package, but 2 guests will be filming, and I did get my wish for uplighting!

Started out at $5K-$8K for 50-60 guests. Has ended up at $16K-$20K for 90-120 guests!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our budget is $20,000 for approx 125 guests. I've gone a bit overboard in a couple of areas such as our limo. We're having a fairly large wedding party (another overboard area). We have rented a limo party bus that holds 30 people. We could very well have got a smaller one but it just seemed like so much fun! :)
We may just come in slightly under the budget... but barely :(
