Of course I said YES!!!

His plan was to propose at church on Christmas day. He asked if I would join him for their Christmas service. At first I said yes because I thought my church wasn’t going to have service. But when I found out we were, I asked if it was ok if I didn’t come. First he said not to worry about it, but then he really wanted me to come and then had to reveal that he had something planned. I kinda figured out what it was…

Fast forward to Christmas Eve, he comes over to help out with the party (yes, I’m one of those crazy people who had a party planned the night before Christmas) and I’m running around all crazy and he’s trying to find a moment to get me to settle down and talk about our relationship. But since I hadn’t wrapped or found half of the kids presents and had 4 kids and 2 dogs constantly barging in, that wasn’t going to happen. So he stops me and asks if I want my present now or later. And I was like “I thought you were going to wait until tomorrow”? But he knew that I’m not an “in the spotlight” person and didn’t want a huge production. I told him to just wait because right now had too much going on.

Later than night at the party as everyone is opening gifts, I was sitting in front next to the Christmas tree and was about to get up for the second time to go find someone’s missing gifts when he stops me and announces to the room that he has a question to ask me…
