I'm Gonna Try to Make an Infinity Dress for the Bridesmaids!

Ok, I know is sounds crazy and I was all set to order the infinity/convertible dresses online for less than $70 each. Which is a good deal, but after searching online for the different ways to tie the dresses I stumbled across some people who made their own and in less than a few hours.
Now I’m no seamstress and I make no claims to fame on sewing. However, if I can make 5 dresses for $25 each I will have cut my costs by over 50%. All I need is 40% stretchy jersey material and my time.
This is really important to me since 4 of my 5 bridesmaids are our children and we have to pay for the dresses. Plus, the design is simple there isn’t a lot of sewing that needs to be done. Just measuring and knowing how to pin and straight stitch.
I’m going to follow this bloggers instructions.

Hopefully I’ll get one done this weekend and will post some pictures if I’m successful.
Wish me luck!

Yeah, I never got a chance to make one. I bought 2 different types of fabric and then discovered that I didn't have the cord to my sewing machine :(
I decided to just have the etsy.com vendor make them. For 4 bridesmaids dresses and 2 flower girl dresses the total was $285. They were put in the mail today. I'll post pics when they come in.
