Candy Buffet Labels

My new “BEST FIND”

So I’m doing a candy bar and cookie buffet at the reception. I’ve collected a ton of containers to pull this off and was looking at all the online galleries with elaborate labels on the jars with ribbon going around them, we'll call this my inspiration. Of course I had to hash out a plan.

Plan #1 –Design and make them myself. However, I’ve still got boxes in my house from the move 2 weeks ago. Procrastination and life’s events aside, I love the look of dye-cut labels with multiple borders that are all fancy and cute.

Enter plan #2 - I started looking for people who made them because I’m a little over a month away and am WAY behind in all my crafting projects. So I went online and searched for them. Can you say pricey? The paper isn’t laced with gold or silver, is it? So entered plan #1 again, make them :(

Then yesterday I was cruising through Michaels at lunch picking over the Easter clearance (the perfect time to find Spring & Pastel colored items) when I came across these labels at the end of the wedding aisle. THEY ARE PERFECT! The color is spot on and the design works. I think they are name tag size. AND that they are stickers, even better! The best part is the price $2.49 per sheet of 10. For five bucks I’ve got 20 labels. And they are large enough so I can just write the names on each label (I have nice handwriting) and not worry about setting up a template. This just keeps getting better and better!

I love it when something simple comes my way. That’s a rarity. My only decision left is to decide if I want to cut each of them out and leave the back in tact or stick them directly on the containers. I don’t want to leave a bunch of residue on the glass for resale reasons. I may just dip the sticky part in confetti so they can also be reused. Either way, all I will have to say is “THAT WAS EASY.”

The labels came right off all the glassware. No residue to clean off, that was easy!

I wish I would've seen these before I did all mine by hand, haha! I had fun with it though. Have you thought about using zips to attach them? That's what I used for my ribbons on the glass, for the same reason, I didn't want the sticky residue. Just a thought. Great find!! :)

What are zips? Please explain. I'm all about simplifying this process.

Here is a link to them at hobby lobby, but you can get them at any craft store or scrapbooking store. They are like glue dots, but in lines. They will stick to glass really well, but come right off when you are done. Hope this helps!!
