Ok - its probably going to be a month or so until I get back the wedding pictures from the photographer. I do have a few good family members that posted their photos facebook, I guess that will have to do until then. But I will be adding elements from the weddding to my blog until I get the offical photographs back. This is where being a photographer sucks :( because I can't wait to see them.
Anyway, I never posted pictures of any of the dresses I tried on or the dress I chose because I wanted it to be a complete surprise to MR. C and my wedding guests. And since I posted links to my blog on facebook, my blog is kinda public.
Well now I can post of the maybe's, kinda's and heck no dresses that I tried on that led me to the "Right" dress for me.
My first stop was Davids Bridal, with mom, MOH and kids in tow. It was more for the tradition since I already tried on dresses there before I got engaged and wasnt really sold on any in my price range.
Then I headed down to Gainesville to a boutique that had a better selection for curvy girls, like myself. I hoped they would have the dress I had been eying online, but no luck. I did fall in love with a dress that made me look amazing (picture #7)! However, it didn't have the drama in the skirt that I was looking for so back to the drawing board I went because I was sold on the fact that I had to try on the dress before I bought it.
A few weeks later I ran across the one, or what I thought was it on oncewed.com. That led me to the jasminecouture.com website where I fell in love!!! Then got sticker shock, Then tried to order one from China, it fell thru and was horrible. Then I found someone who custom made one similar to the gown that fit like a glove. I won't say where because other people have had issues with getting their dresses. My dress came 1 week before the wedding. Luckily it only needed minor alterations.
When I get more picutures I will post them.
