I'm Married! YAY!
We got married this weekend!
I have a few non pro pics to share of our wedding. not sure why some look fuzzy but once I get the professional pics (in a few weeks) I will post them! Everything was perfect. I can't believe that everything went so smoothly. The wedding was so fast! It's like I was dreaming it or something because I feel like I'm on cloud 9. We had a total of 39 people show up to our Vegas wedding. It was such a pleasure to see some many friends and family attend. We are having a small dinner at our house this weekend for family/friends who could not attend the wedding.

Our wedding was on the 103rd floor at the Stratosphere hotel. We got married at 8:30pm so the view on the observation decks were awesome! The strip was glowing with all the pretty lights! We had access to the Romance Lounge in the hotel and we spent most of the night there with our guests. I am sooooo happy that I am walking around with a smile from ear to ear! I am on top of the world right now! The following day we had our dinner reception at Pampas and the food is GREAT.

My husband and I keep staring at our wedding rings because we can't believe we are actually married now. It feels amazing to hear his family call me "sister in law" or "daughter in law." I am loving it that his nieces and nephews are calling me auntie Gracie!

It's my turn! I'm going to be the MRS!
Vegas here we come!
Hello ladies! My wedding is this Saturday! This is my last post as a single woman. I won't be able to post anything until I return. We are getting married in Vegas at the Chapel in the Clouds @ the Stratosphere hotel. Tomorrow, I have to do a few last min things and then I have to finish packing. We will leave Friday morning. Once we get to Vegas we will go straight to the court house to get our marriage license. Then we have to meet with the wedding coordinator that evening. We are going to be so busy. I am soooo pumped and I'm starting to have a few butterflies! I can't believe it's finally my turn! I have never been THIS happy! I am so blessed to marry the man of dreams. This is such an awesome feeling and it's only going to get better.

See you on the other side ladies =D

WOW! I can't believe that my FH got our rooms comped at the Encore and NOW he just got a notice in the mail today for comped rooms for the Venetian! He jumped on it and booked those rooms for his parents and they canceled their rooms at the Stratosphere. Everything is moving on so smoothly! I'm really happy for them! I can't believe this because I never get comped rooms or discounts to anything but my FH gets everything. LOL We are ready for our wedding weekend! YAY!

Ask a Question
Ladies room & the dress
Hello Ladies,

I have no idea how I will use the ladies room on my wedding day. I have heard that you will need assistance with holding your dress. I don't really want anyone in the restroom with me but I'm wondering how it that going to work. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions that worked for you? (or what you think you will do.) I'm sure I will not even care if my sister or close friend helps me but the idea is kind of embarrassing! Any thoughts? LOL....

I don't know where the time went. It's amazing I feel like I am walking on clouds in a dream. It's almost my turn! YAY!

I still need a tiara but I'm not worried about it. I have a veil and some hair accessories so if I find one I find one. If I don't I'm not worried about it. Las Vegas here we come!!!!!

Wedding Ring nightmares
LOL!
Okay, soooooo I've had three nightmares that I have lost my wedding ring. Actually, it's not that I'm dreaming it...I am asleep and I suddenly awake up from a deep sleep to check my hand to see if my ring is still there! LOL My heart is racing like crazy when this happens. I told my FH and he laughed. It is funny but I have no idea why I am doing this. Is this wedding anxiety? Anyone else dealing with weird feelings of anxiety or nightmares? I wonder if ever bride goes through sometime like this. I'm sure it will pass! LOL

Are you sending out "Thank You" cards?
Hello WBC brides!

Are you planning to send out thank you cards? If you are already married did you really send them out? LOL I'm just wondering. My FH says not to bother because no one sends thank you cards but you know how men are. I do plan on buying some because our wedding will be in Las Vegas and people are traveling plus spending money to be there for us. I'm just trying to find out what everyone else is doing. thanks!

Alterations completed!
I'm ready to go!
I picked up my dress today! I was suppose to pick it up last week but when I tried it on again... we noticed that it needed to be taken in again! I haven't lost any weight since then so I'm not sure what happened. Whatever I'm happy with that! The only thing is I went during the day so no one was available to go with me to take pictures. I took my camera last week (again no one was able to go with me because I went during the day) so asked the tailor to take a picture of back of my dress so I can show my friend how to lace it up for my wedding day. I wanted to ask the tailor to take a few pictures of me but I was too shy! Oh well. I'm just excited and wanted to post that my dress is all ready! I can't believe the wedding will next week!

Ask a Question
Should I get a facial 13 days before the wedding?
Hello WBC Brides!

I need help! I have only had ONE facial in my life. Sad I know! I was going to book an appt last week but I found out the person who did my facial no longer works there! I am scared to try a new place just 13 days before my wedding. Do you think I should go for it? I have sensitive skin but I had no problems with my last facial. I went to some hole in the wall place a few months ago to try it and everything worked out fine. I have a new place in mind and I did have a massage there before. They were very professional. I think it will be safe and I will make sure I tell them I am getting married so go easy! LOL By the way I found this article on the Knot about beauty tips in case anyone is interested.(kind of long)

Bridal Beauty: Prewedding Skin Care Solutions
Here's everything you need to know for healthy, clear skin -- whether yours is oily, dry, or somewhere in between.

What kind of skin are you in? It's never too soon to begin a healthy skincare regimen, even months before your wedding. So with our help, you can become your own skincare expert.

The Essentials for Oily Skin...
Keep a variety of products designed for oily skin on hand, so you have options at your fingertips for whatever you face in the mirror. In the summertime, you may be drier on the surface, but oily underneath. Around the holidays, you might be extra oily. The key is to have a range of products at home, so they're available the moment you need them.

Cleanser
Use a gentle gel formula. Rinse carefully, counting at least 10 splashes. (If it's winter, or if you have been spending lots of time in airplanes, your skin may behave more like normal-to-dry skin, in which case you may want to switch temporarily to a more creamy cleanser.)

Toner
Avoid toners containing alcohol, as they can dry the surface of your skin, blocking impurities beneath the surface. Overdrying the skin is one of the biggest mistakes women with oily skin make. Toners with AHAs are a better choice because they help smooth skin's texture and prevent clogged pores. Cucumber water, applied with a clean cotton pad, is another good option.

Moisturizer
While moisturizing might seem counterintuitive with oily skin, it will actually prevent extra oil and pimples (because if skin is too dry it's natural oil production goes into overdrive). Look for an oil-free product or a mattifying cream made specifically for oily skin -- it dries matte on the skin, minimizing larger pores and smoothing surface texture imperfections. If you are drier around your eyes (most people are), apply a richer cream to that area at night. And if your skin is extra, extra oily, skip the moisturizer during the day, and just use an oil-free version at night.

Foundation
Wearing foundation will not negatively affect your skin's condition, as long as you cleanse your face thoroughly at night. Stick to oil-free or mattifying formulas. Or opt for a light, oil-free tinted moisturizer.

Powder
Don't be afraid to use powder to seal in your makeup. If you find that powder makes your face look ashy, skip it. The darkest skin tones often look best with oil-free foundations and nothing else.

Makeup Remover
Before washing your face in the evening, use a nonoily makeup remover on a clean cotton pad to wipe away mascara, liner, shadow, even lipstick. Oily removers can aggravate the eyes and cause makeup to run down your face.

Exfoliant
Sometimes oily skin has a hard upper layer, so regular exfoliation is essential to keeping it soft and unclog pores. Use a gentle, grainy scrub twice weekly, concentrating on blackhead-prone areas like the nose and chin.

Masks
A good clay mask, used once a week, is great for oily, acne-prone skin -- especially in the summer.

Facials
Deep-cleansing facials are good for cleaning out blackheads (just be prepared for a little pain as the facialist presses the impurities from your face).

Dermatologists
When should you seek professional help? If you've followed the above regimen and are still plagued by pimples and serious greasiness, see a doctor for some better solutions.

The Essentials for Dry Skin...
Fight flakes and prevent fine lines with this regimen for normal-to-dry skin types.

Cleanser
Use a creamy cleanser that rinses off with water. Steer clear of tissue-off creams, which can leave a residue. You may even consider using a gel cleanser once a week for a more thorough cleansing, or just switch to the gel cleanser in hot humid weather.

Toner
You don't need a toner, but when using one apply an extremely gentle formula (such as rosewater) with a clean cotton pad to prime your skin for moisturizer. Or use a toner only in the summer.

Moisturizer
Make sure your moisturizer is rich, but absorbs completely into your skin. If your skin feels taut five minutes after application, either the moisturizer formula is not rich enough, or you applied it too sparingly. At night, use heavier moisturizing cream. If you have especially dry spots, use an AHA lotion all over your face, and a richer hydrating cream on the dry patches. Remember, you don't have to treat your whole face in the same way.

Foundation
Use a creamy, moisturizing formula, and make sure your powder is silky and light. Tinted moisturizer is a good summer option, but be sure to use a light facial lotion first.

Cosmetics
Choose creamy formulas for shadows and blushes. The trick is to apply cream blush just after foundation, then dust on face powder and apply another dab of blush on top.

Lip Balm
When lips are dry, use a lip balm that does not contain camphor -- a common ingredient that is meant to be drying and healing to open sores. Instead, coat lips with a noncamphor balm as a base, then slick on a creamy lipstick. Carry balm with you and reapply as necessary.

Eye Cream
A must, as it's slightly richer than face cream and when this area gets dry any fine lines are more noticeable. Apply all around your eye area, every day, both in the morning and at night.

Exfoliant
Use a creamy scrub packed with AHAs -- especially good for combating dehydrated skin and unevenness in skin's texture -- but only if your skin does not become red and irritated after use.

Masks
Skip clay masks and opt for a hydrating, creamy formula instead.

Facials
A hydrating facial will make your face glow and is especially beneficial if you've been travelling a lot.

DIY Couples costumes
Hello WBC Brides!

My FH and I are going to a halloween party next week and need ideas for couples. This would be our first time dressing up as a couple so we want to do something together that is fun and creative. We want to make our own costumes if we can. We are going to a halloween party October 30 so we need something soon!

Are you dressing up and do you have any suggestions for us?

Thanks Ladies!
